6:15 to Work

Waking up at 6:15 every morning to go to a job that is filled with such disgraceful people is a mockery of what is called life. That is disregarding the fact that two people I work with are my brother and cousin: both are continously retarded. Each one dropped out of University; my brother because it was too hard and my cousin because she had to do ENGLISH in Band. What the fuck. When then English become so challenging that one has to give up their greatest talent because of it.

Irregardless, the mild mental retardation of at least my cousin is laughable. However, that does not stop her from being cuthroat like everyone else there. I job dedicated to promoting the Aboriginal culture; the Sto:lo culture. I know that my Brother wishes that he wasn't Aboriginal and assume that my Cousin is too, but hey, some people just are never happy in life. So fuck them. They don't need to make mine less because of it. In any chance, I am at least learning carvering from the big carver in our area; Tom Patterson decided that he wanted to pick me up as an Apprenctice. Good news for me. I've already picked up Drum making from Jeff Dan and become his student but I still need to figure out how to make the Drums just by steaming them rather than angle cutting and glue so that the process and end result can be closer to what my ancestors did.

Anyways, officially one hour after waking up, I'm out.
