How frail is the balance?

Been sick with a sore throat. Not much to complain about, I know. But then I remembered that it's summer now. And I know for sure that I haven't been running out in the rain without my clothes on, so there's something else to blame for this shit.
I haven't really been interacting with people since the convention a week ago, but I doubt I got my sore throat from there. Symptoms started on last Thursday, and the con ended four days earlier. Eh.
Well, it could be all this "stay-up-late-and-sleep-past-midday" crap that's upsetting the body and its immune system. Time zones are a bitch.
Could the balance between being ill and healthy be shook with just interacting with people, with just changing the life style? If yes, what a frail thing it is. Coincidences, bad luck and all that would be able to turn you into a nest of viruses and bacteria instead of a healthy human being.
I guess a certain Mister Murphy knew what he was talking about in his law.

You're just one of those geniuses that are very, very smart but also very, very frail and ill.
It's your lot in life as a smart person. |

And the ironic thing was, that I had to go to hospital the day after I wrote that. Stomach started acting up, made breathing quite painful. Nothing on ultrasound or x-rays though.
It's now gone by though. Long gone. Only the flu remains. |
