Specifically, all their attacks would pass right through him, and he'd just use his better-than-Yondaime's space-time Ninjutsu to pwn epicly.

I dunno, man. Kakuzu fought Shodai and looked just fine about it. Madara fought Shodai and was kindly given the boot. He seems to have weakened since back then. Then again, he is controlling Akatsuki, so this would take at least some measure of power over the others, regardless of relations. I mean, Pein should have little trouble dealing with Kakuzu and Hidan. And I can't see the pair having anything to go through Madara's body-phasing, although if Hidan got some blood, that would do the trick. I don't think he can, though, even with Kakuzu's help - not against Madara.

Anyway, Nikushimi, the outcome of a match-up between Itachi and Madara is nowhere near certain, so you can't use that as an argument.

Ah, I forgot about that lol. They both lost to Shodai I read somewhere but I wonder who lost...worst?

Doesn't that mean Shodia>Madara>Itachi? But one thing...if Kakuzu lost to Shodai as well (but it wasn't as bad as Madara's lost), wouldn't that place him between Madara and Itachi? I mean it's starting to look like Shodia would've whooped Itachi's ass but I'm not sure. :S

Besides not knowing the circumstances of how Madara lost, the Madara of now could be (probably is?) several times stronger than the Madara that lost against Shodai.

Yes but that doesn't neccessarily refer to power and we have three different Madaras, Shodai-Fight Madara, Minato-Fight Madara, and current Madara, meaning Madara's "prime" may not be when he fought Shodai it could have been when he "fought" against Minato.

Itachi only implied that Madara, at some point, was stronger than him. Madara expressed that Itachi could have killed him, and earlier Itachi had expressed his belief that he was no longer worth of being considered the greatest Uchiha, and then went on specifically about strength. So, how it looks to me is, Madara (Prime)>Itachi>/=Madara (Current).

Itachi also stated he would be the one to surpass Madara if he obtained Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.

That's future-tense.
