Uchiha Itachi specified that he with Sasuke's eyes, would surpass Uchiha Madara, becomming the most most powerful Uchiha that had ever existed.
It was also said that when achiving the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan a new jutsu would awaken.

How does he fare against the founder of the six paths of jutsu.
Unlike Pein Rikudō he's not devided in six bodies, each possessing one of the six path jutsus. Fūin jutsu, Genjutsu, Juin jutsu, Kekkei, Ninjutsu and Taijutsu.
