He said Toguro's power-level has to be 600 based on the percantages and the fact he felt like an ordinary human at 1% to Kuwabara. Vegeta, with a power-level of 18,000, caused a thunderstorm. The Kyuubi can do that with the wave of it's tail. Therefore, it is 9x stronger than Vegeta.

And Orochimaru can handle up to four tails so he is <72,000. Work backwards from there to find Shikamaru.

Now, Sensui had the same effect on the terrain as Goku (Fighting Vegeta) when using "less than a 5th of his power" (Mangafox, some translations say <50%). Multiply Goku's power by 6 and Sensui's full-power is: 48,600.

Kurama and Hiei were restored to A-class by going back to Makai. They could do nothing to Sensui who was stated to have S-class power even though he was a human (He even mastered golden rei-ki). So at best Fox Demon Kurama is 37,000.

Comparing different series to one series' power levels (which stopped using them) does not compute. Honestly that puts hundreds of characters who at best could take out a small town past someone who can destroy the Moon instantly.

Kurama transformed durring the Dark Tournament is nowhere close to Younger Toguro in power. This is because he says Karasu is "On his level" when he faces him. And Karasu was by no means an A-Class demon. He must have been transformed into Yoko Kurama before he reached A-Class.

Anyway, Kurama wins this fight.

That's where you're wrong.

Toguro stated that he could beat Karasu with 80% of his full power. He did not recover his A-class power until returning to Makai. Toguro was only a B+ demon. There is a considerable gap between the A and S classes compared to ALL the other one's since they made such a big deal about it during Chapter Black.

And working backwards, if Toguro can whip Akatsuki, it would mean that base Kurama might not be so far off.

In other words, Kurama, before he adopted a human body, was stated to be an A-Class demon.

Kurama used to be A-class, heck Hiei was born that way. Both vastly deteriorated due to personal ambition (Kurama was escaping the hunters and would loose power becoming Minamano. Hiei simply got weaker after the Ja-gan eye surgery).

When they returned to Makai they were restored (To A-class power). That was my point. And if we want to get technical, the demon-fox transformation is nearly 80-fold based on the machine Yomi's subordinate used. Kurama did absolutely everything he could to try and match Karasu's speed in base but it was utterly hopeless (and that was even simulation).

So Kurama is his base<<<<<<<<Karasu<Demon Fox<<<Toguro full-power. And Akatsuki are somewhere before the "<<<" behind Toguro. I don't think Shikamaru post-time skip would loose to base Kurama in the DT.

That puts him behind the weakest member of Akatsuki.

Shikamaru has intellect but his low amount of chakra quickly disables his fighting abilities. Kurama on the other hand seems to not get as tired as fast but that's just from an observation point.
