Post/discuss any easter eggs from Naruto here. It can be from pretty much anything relating to Naruto (anime, manga, dubs, shippuuden, movies, ovas, games, or even cameo appearances from other shows).



Here's a few off the top of my head....

When Sakura's browsing through some stores she comes accross small (naruto themed) animal toys. I can't remember the episode, but I think it may have been in the Idate arc --- here's a screenshot:





In chapter 3, page 4 of the Naruto manga, there's a billboard with a picture of Masashi Kishimoto on it. I believe this is kept when the chapter is animated in the show -- possibly even recycled into other episodes too.



At one point when Naruto's leaving his house in the morning, he puts a key into the door on his house and we can see a small Pakkun key chain attached to it. If anyone wants to ellaborate on this one feel free.



In episode 59 (starting at 7 mins 8 seconds) of Yakitate!! Japan, Kawachi has a "reaction" to bent spring onions --- resulting in him fighting Suwabara dressed up as Ninjas, and mimicking a number of Naruto topics. Very funny -- they even did Dattebayo, the "my way of the ninja" line, and the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. Best if you're familiar with the show, but It seems like it would still be funny if you aren't.

The character wasn't Masashi Kishimoto. Your right about the billboard, but the character next to Masashi's name is actually from Karakuri, Masashi's very first Manga.
Hah ha, yeah i remember seeing that. Funny funny stuff. Here's a link to it for those who want to know what he means:


As for easter eggs, cameos and such:

• Konohamaru, Udon and Moegi make an appearance in the American cartoon BEN 10, appearing briefly in an episode acting as one of the characters grand children.
• In South Park, there was an episode in the recent series which was describing how to deal with hyper active children. While Cartman, Kyle, Stan and Kenny watched the show on tv, there are 3 children sitting at desks in the background and you can clearly see one of them with blonde scruffy hair, a light blue head band and orange overalls twitching his eye. A striking resemblance to Naruto.

Holy crap, that was hilarious. It was such a blatant parody of Naruto. XD

Anyway, that South Park thing was purely coincidence. It really doesn't look like him at all.
As for the Ben 10 thing, I've actually seen another Naruto reference in it, and in the form of a total Deidara-rip-off no less. Some freaky white-haired chick who can make exploding clay creatures that come to life. If I remember correctly, she also rode one, similar to how Deidara does, and her clothes looked frighteningly similar to the Akatsuki cloak (pinkish cloak with purple clouds, if I remember this right). In fact, when I came to it and saw what was happening, my first reaction was to drop the remote, look totally stupified, and scream "DEIDARA?!?!?!?!?!". It was totally eery.
I shudder to think how many other Naruto references there are...

I did some research on Ben 10, but I couldn't find anyone that even sounded close to a Deidara clone. The only possibility on the various character profiles that I read, were these two people named something like Missy and Pinky -- didn't have pictures though. Do you remember the persons name?

I just found out this one.

In Konoha Senki, Masashi Kishimoto can be unlocked as a playable character. Apparently, you have to do 3 things:

1. Unlock Arena Mode
2. Beating the Game
3. Entering a Code on the Map Screen

I don't have the game, but I'd love to see a screenshot.

I don't know. But it was a girl, with white or silver hair. All I really remember is that she totally reminded me of Deidara.

Konoha Senki is a Naruto game released on the GBA in Japan.

Finally, after all this time, I found a pic of the Deidara-copy:



She's called "Charmcaster". Now that I see her again, the appearance really isn't all that remarkably similar. But the fact that she fights with "magically-controlled exploding clay dolls" and the pouch with the mouth-like zipper just screeeeams "Deidara". Oh, and her cloak does have a very similar look to the Akatsuki cloak, style-wise.

Oh so here we have you saying that the South Park character who looks blatantly like Naruto in hair and clothes to be "Coincidental" and then we have your character from Ben 10 who doesn't even resemble Deidara in any aspect at all except for using Clay to fight with. I say "Coincidental".

Yeah, but the kid from South Park doesn't resemble Naruto AT ALL.

In fact, his jacket is more yellowish and his headband is a sort of lime-green.

In this case, we have a show where one blatant rip-off of Naruto has already been full-on confirmed. This chick, who fights with clay creatures that explode and even RIDES THEM, and who has a CLAY POUCH with a MOUTH for an opening...

It's more than coincidence. If it was any other show, maybe. But since we know this show DOES take a lot of shit from Naruto... For example, I just found this:

Wait, Wait, Wait. So your saying its not naruto becuase he has a slightly different color to his hair band and his jacket? And you say that a person who has completely different hair, Completely different style of clothing and in plainess looks nothing like Deidra. Im not saying it isnt deidra, but this is for easter eggs.
