For once, I have to agree with DBAF. Orochimaru stronger than any Kage in the world, and his village was one of the strongest. Whether the other villages recognise him or not is irrelevant, if Otogakure is stronger than even one of the other 5 major villages, Orochimaru can declare himself Kage. And since Sasuke apparently beat him, Sasuke can declare himself the Nidai Kage of Otogakure.

Either way, "Otokage" isn't acknowledged to the Shinobi world because it isn't part of the great 5 Shinobi countries. How you find this irrelevant is beyond me as it's written in stone in the Manga, Anime and Databooks. Otokage is a self proclaimed title.

Yeah. But by self proclaiming, it doesn't mean it will be acknowledged. Orochimaru is a feared and wanted man, no one, other than those who serve him, acknowledge him as any kind of Kage and just want him dead.

The sound country's daimyo acknowledge Orochimaru as its Kage. If he didn't, than Orochimaru wouldn't had been allow to create Otokagure in the first place.

When the Rice Country was conflicted with constant war and being watered down into mush, the Daimyo simply allowed Orochimaru to enter their village in a hope to make them strong and be able to give him men to fight with. When it turned out that he was using them instead of helping them, they ended up fearing him. And the fact that still, written in stone in the Manga, Anime and Databooks, is that Orochimaru is not stated or accepted as a Kage. Only those who reside in the 5 major countries equaling that they are the strongest countries in the world, may have a Shinobi leader called Kage. Until it is stated in the series or data that Orochimaru can hold the Kage title, i won't accept it because it isn't fact.

But anyway, back on to 348 i guess.

Yes, let's...
I see the whole 'spreading the word' thing as nothing more than a plot device to ensure Naruto knows that Sasuke escaped or beat Orochimaru. Somehow word will reach Konoha, and Naruto will set off in search, either on his own or with Sakura or the team or whatever, and somehow come into contact with Sasuke. Then Suigetsu will say 'who is that boy?' and Sasuke will say, after an odd smile of remembrance, 'he's my best friend'. Or maybe he was my best friend. Then maybe some sort of fight, where Naruto and Sasuke trade blows, but Naruto lets Sasuke go on with his mission of killing Itachi, upon realising that he is no longer in danger of losing his body.
Plus, Itachi will get wind of Sasuke's actions and we might see some Akatsuki reaction at last.
That's how I see the next few chapters going, maybe. Just a feeling, obviously that exact scenario won't happen, but if it does, it must be magic.
I hope that Juugowasn't talking about guys and girls in a sexual sense, because it's just a bit too over the top. Isn't Naruto a manga for people from quite young ages? In Japan, they see more stuff as kids, as evidenced by all the cuts anime takes when it's broadcast in the west, but it is a bit too much strangeness...

@ Chimney leaf: That scenario sounds too good to be true....but it's possible. However, I don't think that Sasuke and Naruto will fight, I mean there's (yet) no reason whatsoever for a battle. Sasuke is save and sound and (right now) no threat to Konoha, he just doesn't want to play friends with Naruto anymore; thats no crime.But I'm still confused about sasuke's character....he doesn't want to kill anyone but his brother and Orochimaru, or at least he says so...however, he clearly intented to kill Naruto and Sakura when they met the first time after the Time-skip. How does that fit together?
As for Juugo, I truly hope that he didn't refer to his sexual taste, couse yeah, it would be too over the top (after the numerous hints of SasukeXOrochimaru/ SasukeXSai) and hell yeah! Most of the Naruto readers in Japan are schoolboys !(they constantly block the Naruto-section in like every single fricking Book-Off -.-)

I think that maybe he was using his Sharingan prediction (or possibly just knowing that Orochimaru wouldn't allow him to kill the Kyuubi or it's container) to know that Orochimaru was coming, and that Sai would jump in to save Naruto. In my opinion, that was all an act to get Naruto and Sakura to stay away. He could have killed Yamato, but just injured him instead.

I'm just guessing, but I think Sasuke is going to start 4th Great Shinobi War. I don't think he's going to start it on purpose, but we all know that revenge leads into something worse.

Lol, there isn't any 'Sharingan prediction', but the idea that he wouldn't pull it off anyway, and he knew that Orochimaru would stop him, is quite interesting. Although purely lame by my Itachi-ish standards, which indicate an alarming lack of hatred, it's highly possible and works for the storyline.

I don't mean a serious fight, just something for old time's sake, a way for Naruto to show off how strong he has become to one of the people he most desires recognition from.

After Itachi's done and dead, the final battle with have to be Naruto and Sasuke, since they are/were the main characters through most of the story, and they're basically rivals. And, if I'm good, it'll end up with Naruto killing Sasuke.
Because they were obviously intruding with his entire plan. You wanted him to sit back and just let them take him from his training?

But why should they fight?! Sasuke and Naruto are on the same side right now, they both want to take out the Akatsuki/Itachi. Orochimaru is dead, Sasuke didn't kill anyone else (yet) so there's no reason for a battle except for the "I don't want to be your friend anymore" thing but that doesn't justify a final showdown. Ah well, I still hope that somehow Orochimaru survived, takes over Sasuke's body, threatens to destroy Konoha or something which forces Naruto to fight and (hopefully) kill Sasuke/Orochimaru.
