Its alright, not great not bad. Better than the previous openings.

Very, very, very gay.

Once again, the Rookie 9, now basically nonexistant fodder characters, are hyped and emphasized, despite having honestly nothing to do with the plot anymore, while random shots of Akatsuki members in poses are shown (two of which are basically just rehashed manga panels that were colored-in and animated). Also, reusing that same Kakuzu/Hidan stock footage in the new opening just looks tacky.

Not impressed. 5/10

I usually go by the music. =/

They only used that Hidan, Kakuzu footage in like three episodes of the old opening. Before that it was Asuma fighting the filler monkey ninja.

They could've done new footage for Hidan and Kakuzu, or at least added on/altered what they had.

BTW, I just watched part of these episodes on Youtube, and I must say, Asuma's is quite possibly the lulziest death scene in animu I've ever seen.

Opening was a generic boring and fun one, nothing great, animation was pretty good though, I prefer the ending done by HALCALI:

Reused animation of awesome Hidan/Kakuzu moments - good.
Some shots of Kakashi still being the awesomest guy ever - good.
Some shots of Hinata - good.
Song's alright.

Naruto 1 is better, because characters shared the spot light very well. Now we have Naruto and Sasuke being the only ninja capable of fighting strong opponents, all that development that went into other characters in part 1 went right down the drain. That was one of the worst moves in my opinion. In my opinion, the characters should have been done like how Yu Yu Hakusho did it, they let the characters share the spot light equally.

Animation is great, no denying that. They were lazy about Hidan and Kakuzu though, but at least it's good. Music is...alright. The only thing gay about it is when Naruto jumps up in the air like a cheer leader... >_>;
