Besides Sakura, Lee, Guy, and Neji no one uses it.

Sakura almost never uses Taijutsu. She just evades and has a strong punch. She primarily a healer. Kakashi uses everything, including Taijutsu. Kisame uses Taijutsu too. Hidan just uses Taijutsu, with just his ritual jutsu.

um....a good portion of the itachi vs sasuke fight was tai...I'd say there has been about the same amount that we saw in part 1...

The Taijutsu fighting in the Itachi vs Sasuke battle was all inside a Genjutsu. They didn't move one inch. :|

Well, in part 1 we mostly witnessed low level fights, thats why we got to see alot of taijutsu.

But in part 2 nearly all of the fights involved kage level people who excell in ninjutsu and genjutsu. If you have strong ninjutsu and genjutsu, there won't be much need for Taijutsu.

He used Taijutsu against Zabuza, against Shouten Itachi. And it is stated that Kakashi's taijutsu is almost on par with Gai's taijutsu. So the K-man should know some Taijutsu.

And how many Shippuuden fights has he been in?

The taijutsu lacks the same epicness as the part 1 taijutsu did. But thats only because part 2 lacks Gai and Lee.

Neji lacks the epic GAR high speed brawls of Gai and Lee.

Neji can never do anything that could even compete with Lee vs Gaara. That is levels above, its blatent.
