A "weaboo" is a non-Japanese Japanophile (usually White) who is...basically...a wannabe hardcore otaku.

But in all honesty, you ARE really being too anal about dubs. Death Note's dub is excellent. Naruto's isn't THAT bad. Fullmetal Alchemist had an excellent dub.

I'm in full agreement with jaif...all dubs are pretty much shit. The only dub work that I can't knock is for DBZ. That was the first anime I ever saw dubbed and didn't know any better.

Drop the "holier than thou" attitude, you ALWAYS do that and in the end I get an Infraction for a mod abusing his position and powers like a bundle.

Also, Afro Samurai, Vampire Hunter Bloodlust are dub first animes, but you have horrible taste so you won't appreciate either tbh.

I was debating starting V. Hunter. Now that I know it's just a dub, I won't.

How did I ever even remotely came close to abusing my Moderator powers, of all things, in this thread - or elsewhere, for that matter? I merely expressed my honest opinions in a way that is no different from what you do. It is you who should start moderating your tone. I couldn't care less, but it annoys others pretty frequently.

A few days ago I would have been a sub-fanboy, but the other day I watched the Sasuke vs Gaara fight in English and I was pretty impressed. I've always considered some of the voice actors good, but I was pleased with most. So, I'd say its decent, not perfect.

Did have crappy voices but, it does realing matter to me.. <_<

It's horrible, in my opinion. The voice cast is full of overactors, though there are some good ones. Doesn't hold a candle to the subbed version.

Kaaru, you seem to be the one who came in here with a "holier than thou" attitude. The first thing you posted pointed out that people who prefer subs that aren't in their own language are fags, and that they should prefer dubovers in their own language, and you expect a favorable reaction? Despite that you would call the opinions of others "horrible", concerning something which has no bearing on reality, this is ultimately a subjective matter.

fail. That has got to be the stupidest argument ever, there is no equivalent for the dubbed anime to the manga...if we could get someone to read them to us in english, that would be nice, but since no one is probably willing, we'll take a translated version, just like I'll take the subbed version.

It's obviously not as simple as just understanding it, as I'm pretty sure if they actually tried, someone could throw together a dub retarded enough that you'd hate it. If I could understand Japanese well, I probably would read it in Japanese, for the record. As for the anime? So, it's the original. Whatever. This isn't what I'm concerned with. I just care about what voice acting I like better, and if I have a way to understand it, there aren't any problems.
