I pretty much agree with what Nikushimi said. As I said in another thread it seems only a Sharingan user or someone/something unaffected by genjutsu could defeat Itachi.

Not only did that quote come out of nowhere, and not only did you come off as trying to pick a fight, you're statement is not proven in even the slightest way, and is in fact most likely incorrect.

On your side, we have:

On my side, we have:

1. A direct statement from Itachi that only another Sharingan user is stronger/can be stronger than him.

2. Evidence that Itachi could've captured Naruto by now, and that he hasn't because he has his own agenda, in direct disobedience of Pein's orders.

3. A direct statement by Tobi that Pein is not astoundingly far from Kakuzu's level.

4. Indirect evidence that Tobi knows Itachi is straying from Akatsuki's path, implied by the fact that he sent Pein to capture Naruto immediately and rushed off in a hurry to go do something (most probably, kill Itachi).

5. Further evidence to support that Itachi is breaking away from Akatsuki, as he confronts Naruto or one of his clones alone in a forest. Meaning he was either never told that Pein had taken over the assignment to capture Naruto (which is further evidence that Tobi, Pein, and BH are becoming afraid of him), or that he's going after Naruto anyway, for whatever purpose (which is further evidence that he has his own plans).

Pein is blatantly not that weak (lol, Kakuzu), because he wouldn't even have been positioned as the Leader. He was also called "the strongest man in Akatsuki", so, there goes that theory....



He said to be careful of Naruto. The fact that he'd taken out two of Kakuzu's hearts certainly didn't impress BH. For the fact that Naruto could exceed Yonbi at any time, and is now far stronger than before, I would think, is worth cautioning over...



We don't know anything about Pein. How can there possibly be an argument over who is stronger between the two?

On my side, we have:

1) He's appointed second-in-command way over Itachi.

2) A direct statement from BH that Pein never lost a battle & Tobi/Madara agreeing with this statement.

3) When Pein tells Itachi to speak, Itachi speaks as the good b*tch that he is (Chap. 263).

4) Pein somehow affects the weather.

5) He's now appointed on capturing Naruto, which Itachi fail twice to do so.

"Way over"? I don't recall Akatsuki having ranks, other than the normal members, the puppet leader (Pein), and the true leader (Tobi).

Ummm...so what? Gaara was stated to have never even been scratched before, but he's not even fit to wipe Itachi's ass.

What, would you expect him to say "Fuck you" and get the entire rest of the Akatsuki Organization on his ass? Itachi obviously had some reason for playing along with Akatsuki until now.

Itachi can go into your mind and warp your subconscious to an alternate dimension that he controls like a god, where he can do anything he wants to you for days while only a second transpires in the real world. What's your point?

The first time, it was stated he could've captured Naruto if he had wanted, but for some reason he chose not to (which, yeah, pretty much adds fuel to the "Itachi has his own agenda" flame). The second time, he was acting through a 30% clone (which was probably actually weaker than that, given it couldn't use Mangekyou Sharingan), and it was a delay action, not an attempt to capture.



EDIT @ Zer0: About that scan...heh heh heh... It says "The strongest man in Akatsuki pursues Naruto!". That's funny, because in the next chapter, Itachi is the one to "pursue" him.
