I doubt Kishimoto would be that stupid....or atleast, I hope. In such a case, the manga would suck unbelievably. I don't want Naruto to sink down into a bunch of Dragonball Z nonsense. Honestly, something like that would completely destroy Naruto's readability.

Well the mouth beam Naruto unleashed at his yon-bi state is, in terms of pure destructive power, probably the strongest manifestation of chakra we've ever witnessed in the series this far. It's a raw, pure, unrefined release of Naruto's chakra with four tails released, which is probably the highest level of chakra shown until now, and it just blasted through three Rashoumon gates, each of whom should be much sturdier than Orochimaru himself. Well that's just my opinion though.

Yup, both Naruto & Shikamaru are definitely S-class material now. Since defeated Kakuzu, I guess he's stronger than the Nibi no Nekomata. This would mean that he would slaughter Itachi & Kisame.

Well they might be S-class, but still not Itachi-range. Kisame-range, maybe. Itachi is just way too smart to fall for Shikamaru's tricks. And the only way Naruto can stand up to Itachi is to call forth the power of the Kyuubi. Kakuzu isn't stronger than Itachi, that's never stated and not even hinted. Naruto only beat Kakuzu because two of his hearts were gone, although, if you think about it, if Naruto can take out 2 hearts with each Futon: Rasenshuriken, he just has enough power at that point to take down all of Kakuzu's hearts.
And whoa. Nibi is strong, but how did you figure it is stronger than Itachi or Kisame?:Itachi would just rape the two-tailed cut in an instant (not much unlike what Hidan and Kakuzu did, but you get the point). Don't forget that Itachi and Kisame have been assigned specifically to hunt down the Kyuubi, while the rest don't need to capture specific Jinchuuriki (at least that's how it looks like). And the Kyuubi is way too strong to be compared to Nibi. Not even close.

Not really. One heart managed to remain...intact, Kakuzu still being alive, so chances are he'd have...more hearts intact if he had more to start with. As well, it was already made necessary for him to use one wind release (along with a water release, on Yamato's part) to neutralize one attack, he completely failed the second time, and the last time he hit home. Kakuzu's not going to just stand there, so either way, taking out all of his hearts from the beginning seems very farfetched to me.

Well I just did the maths... Naruto can perform the Rasenshuriken three times a day if he's fully rested and healthy, and Kakuzu has 5 hearts... one Rasenshuriken destroyed two hearts, so two of them would wipe out four of Kakuzu's hearts and the last could be used to destroy the final one, or even a simpler technique like the Rasengan could do it. Of course this is, assuming they all manage to hit Kakuzu, but the point is, the power of base Naruto and his techniques is enough to kill a supposedly immortal S-rank shinobi of the most feared organisation in the world. Meh. I really don't like the way things are turning out...

Since Naruto's right arm is fractured now, he should take this time on training his mind by going to the library and read some books. Once he's recover & complete his training, I hope he'll be able to throw Rasen Shuriken instead of running towards his opponent with it.
