Timelines please. If it's the same timeline then Tien is stronger but if it's Yamcha (23rd tourny) vs Tien (22nd tournament) or something then yamcha wins.

The 23rd tourney Yamcha is weaker then 22nd Tien, so that tell's us all we need to know about him in comparison to Tien. Tien would win.

No he's not. I'd say Yamcha's only slightly weaker than Old Piccolo Daimao in that tournament.

Yeah, I gotta agree with Louis here. He would've done much worse against Kami if this were true.

Plus I doubt he trained in the 5 year gap, and we know that Tien(22nd Budokai)<<177

First of all, what exactly did Yamcha do to Shen? Exactly. He didn't do anything, and it's as simple as that.

Louis, only slightly weaker? Yamcha is at 177 in the beginning of DBZ, and five years before that, his power level is somehow higher then that? Piccolo was around 230 or more, so he's much weaker then Piccolo, and probably Drum.

Old Piccolo is pretty damn strong by the way, since I misread your post.

The spirit ball did make Kami move out of the way. If he was so much stronger than Yamcha, he would've just deflected it.

I used to think this as well. But Devilz brought up a good point in another thread. Tien was confident he could beat the Holy Water Goku, who he saw was more powerful than Piccolo. And since its generally that he at least trained some during the 5 year gap, he was probably only around 220 or so. Piccolo needs to be much lower than that.

Well, Goku moved out of the way when Jeice fired his beam at him during the Ginyu batte, and #18 dodged Vegeta's first Big Bang Attack, so I don't think you always have to deflect or directly take an attack just to prove superiority.


Tien was above Piccolo after training, or. at least I think; but how does this mean Yamcha is strong?
