I feel as though he didn't train much in the 5 year gap.

So you think he got up to 195 then decreased to 177? You said you don't think he trained "much" during that time, which at least hints at him training "some", right? If he at least trained casually, he shouldn't weaken.

Why don't you think he trained for all that time? That's quite a long time to not train at all, like he quit being a fighter all of a sudden.

No he was just a little preoccupied with playing baseball (in the anime) In the manga he just seems to slack off when he doesn't have to train.
