Goku barely dodged that attack, though. How is one simple dodge enough to determine how powerful he is in base at that point?

You don't dodge sneak attacks from somebody if they're hugely more powerful. And the fact that Vegeta's incredibly more powerful than the guy that did that means he should be able to handle things.

And then you have base Trunks, who's probably not all that much more powerful than Vegeta, blowing Cell (who is ridiculously more powerful than Frieza) out of a city with nothing but his ki. Nobody could do that unless they were much stronger than Frieza.

In fact, nothing at all points to base Saiyans being weaker than Frieza at this point in the story.

Don't get me wrong. I think the majority of the base Saiyans are superior to Freeza myself. I just don't think base Goku was above 100% Freeza, because he changed right back into SSJ when he knew the battle wasn't over. Many will tell you Cell was likely suppressed when Trunks used the kiai, but I agree with you on his base being more powerful then Freeza at that point.

Neither do I; not really close. But close enough to actually accomplish a feat like that. Multiply that by 10x or so (maybe even more), and you get Vegeta. That's what I think is above Frieza.

I dont think Vegeta is that strong enough to beat 100% Frieza 1st post-rosat he would be around maximum near Frieza´s 50% power.

So, the power of an SSJ isn't to far off from the power of the base form. Mind to explain why? For me there was a pretty huge difference between 50% Frieza and base Goku, that gap was in favor of Frieza, there was also a notable difference between 100% Frieza and Goku, not as big as the one I mentionned earlier but still easily visible and that difference is in favor of SSJ Goku.

SSJ Goku>100% Frieza>>50% Frieza>>>>Base Goku

Care to explain where you see the base form and the SSJ form being close in terms of power?
