Goku could win. Gohan said that Trunks has exactly the same Ki he felt from Goku on Namek. Even if Trunks has slight power advantage Goku's a better fighter so he could manage to win.

Trunks would win. Mecha Frieza was confident in being able to destroy Goku knowing of his SSJ power. The way Trunks was boasting "You're about to fight a REAL Super Saiyan, and I'm not talking about Goku", shows that he is stronger than Goku (on Namek).

I'd pick Trunks.
He's either equal or stronger than Goku.
Trunks has much more experience with the SSJ form also.
And since this is Goku from the Frieza saga, he won't have instant transmission.

I know, but it doesn't change anything. When at full power, the speed and power increases dramatically, Frieza didn't do anything, Trunks sliced him and he did nothing. If at least he was remotely close to Trunks, he would have defended himself, but he didn't.

Trunks probably, since I believe he's more powerful but I suppose Goku still has some chance but I'd go with Trunks.
