Yes, but you can be dead and be on Earth. As far as I understood, you said that he could go SSJ3 full power against Fat Buu cos he was dead, but not against Kid Buu cos he was alive, but in fact what only matters is environment.

His Ki loss on Earth was due to being alive, not his location.

Yes Goku said a stronger fighter would appear, but can we trust his statements? He didnt know how Gotenks would turn out, he was probably bullshitting to Fat Buu so he would not destroy things until this stronger fighter appeared.

I have SSJ3 Goku stronger than post ROSAT SSJ Gotenks.

Some people might think ''That dude is a fucking retard'' but let me explain.

First of all, when Goku fought Fat Buu for the first time, he wasn't serious at all, that wasn't near his full power. When he said ''Someone stronger will come and fight you in two days'' the ''Someone stronger'' is a comparison to what Goku showed to Fat Buu, not what he is actually capable of. Fat Buu is the one who asked if the ''someone'' is strong, Goku is the one who answered. Look at the situation.

I won't quote what was said exactly.

Fat Buu: Is he strong.

Goku: Stronger than me.

Goku said that to give an idea of how strong the ''someone'' was, if he wasn't comparing the ''someone'' to himself, it wouldn't make much sense since it wouldn't give Fat Buu any indications of the ''someone's'' power. The way the statement was made, it means SSJ Gotenks is stronger than what SSJ3 Goku showed which was far from his full power. Keep in mind, Fat Buu can't sens Ki, so he has to guess someone's power by what he sees. So, for him, someone stronger than SSJ3 Goku is someone stronger than what SSJ3 Goku showed him.

Second, Piccolo's claim on SSJ Gotenks(Post ROSAT) was rather unclear. Yes, SSJ Gotenks powered-up hugely, in my opinion, Piccolo's statement is rather garbage, he first thought SSJ Gotenks stood a chance against Buu, then he was like ''Damnit, we're finished''. It means Piccolo hadn't a clear idea on SSJ Gotenks since he thought he was as powerful as SSJ3 Gotenks and he wasn't close. Gotenks could have been 1,5x stronger than his Pre ROSAT self but Piccolo gueseed he was something like 6-15x stronger(Depending on the multipliers you use). So, my guess is, SSJ Gotenks was more powerful than before, but there is no way to indicate by how much.

A lot of people here have a completely angered Fat Buu at almost Shin Buu's level. I believe he is pretty far from him. Goku claimed himself he was stronger than Fat Buu(Now don't come and contradict a CLEAR manga fact) it means the time Goku was fighting Fat Buu, he was actually stronger, not weaker. It's a clear fact both SSJ Gotenks(Pre ROSAT) and SSJ3 Goku are stronger than Fat Buu.

Goku wanted the kids to absolutely train and perfect the fusion because they would need it. He was confident in SSJ Gotenks power but not to the point of not training them, he was even telling them to hurry up and to focus on their training. It means, SSJ Gotenks(Post ROSAT) wasn't that far from Fat Buu and in volume 42 Goku said without a shade of doubt he could have defeated Fat Buu. I don't think his statement included ''With some training'' or ''With difficulty'' he was just rather confident. It somewhat means SSJ3 Goku is stronger than Fat Buu to a point Goku doesn't doubt, going by that logic, SSJ3 Goku must be a good deal stronger and SSJ Gotenks(Pre ROSAT) wasn't a good deal stronger.

It all depends on how you view Gotenks power up, I believe he didn't power up much in just 2 weeks. Why you ask?? Because most of his time was used to reach SSJ2 and SSJ3, it was also used to prepare an aresenal of useless attacks and to rest. I personnaly believe their gain in power wasn,t big enough to catch up to SSJ3 Goku, but that's all a matter of interpretation.

SSJ Gotenks(Pre ROSAT) is definitely weaker than SSJ3 Goku though.
