Salza vs. Captain Ginyu

Not sure if someone can verify this but I heard that in a Shonen Jump issue, Salza battled Captain Ginyu and won for a higher spot on the Frieza's squad or something like that. Yes, I know hes with Cooler but its something I heard.

From what I can remember, it'd be extremely hard to place Salza anywhere, considering he fought Piccolo, who was light years ahead of Captain Ginyu.

Ginyu using the body change technique would win anyway.

Saiza didn't really give Piccolo any trouble at all. He made Piccolo think twice when he did that Saiza balde attack, but that's about it. I would think Saiza would be more powerful, because Ginyu's not all that strong, and wouldn't even hold Piccolo off a little bit.

Well it's pure guesswork anyway, because we can't guage his strength properly simply from that fight with Piccolo.

Why not? Piccolo was around Freeza's 2nd suppression in Movie 5, so since Salza gave Piccolo a bit of a fight, he could easily be around 1,000,000.

I don't think Saiza is anywhere near 1,000,000 in power. At the most, I could see him around 700,000 or a bit more.

The three of them together were a big enough threat for Pikkoro to remove (or lose) his weights. I put all of them over a million.

But Piccolo was fighting him without his weighted cape, meaning Piccolo's around 1,100,000 there. Piccolo had shown he could pretty much rape Salza when he get's down to business, so there's a probable 1.2x difference. If Salza was at 900,000, then Piccolo would be around a million. But since Piccolo has his cape off, then he's quite a bit stronger. Salza had shown that he could somewhat survive against Piccolo, so I'm thinking he's around 1,000,000...give or take a couple thousands here an there.

@ Zer0 - I don't think the other members are quite as strong as Salza, because of how easily they were defeated. I just think Piccolo took his cape off in the beginning of his fight with them because one, he had to make sure Gohan was to be safe, and two, because he was going to be fighting Salza anyway.

That's a bit too much. He didn't even remove the weights purposelly, thanks to Doole. He erased Neiz with his own attack, and one heat seeking fireball was enough for Doole. I don't see why they can even be considered that strong? His Saize blade was givin Piccolo some trouble, but that's about it. He couldn't even hit Piccolo when he was double teaming him with Neiz.
