This is Majin Vegeta versus Base Gotenks pre-RoSaT, with no limit on fusion duration. SSJ Gotenks (Pre-RoSaT) is stated to be stronger than SSJ3 Goku, but the SSJ multipliers are unclear at the time. Majin Vegeta was slightly superior to Majin Buu, but couldn't kill him due to the regeneration. Gotenks was easily beaten by Majin Buu, but it's possible he wasn't fully trying due to overconfidence.

Who do you think would win this match.

If Gotenks plays around he would loose, if becomes serious then Gotenks would win.
He just needs to not be so over confident and he will win, other wise Majin Vegeta wins.

Gotenks surely.

Due to Ssj3 being stronger than Ssj2 Vegeta, and in the end Ssj2 Vegeta is what Majin Vegeta really was, it was simply Ssj2 Vegeta with an evil heart and mind.

Gotenks failed to stop Buu due to being a cocky inexperienced kid who had just become Gotenks for the first time ever and wasn't used to it.

Goten and Trunks failed to grasp alot of simple things, such as the meaning of the word 'Wizard', in the end they are only children and lack alot of knowledge of simple things... same goes with Gotenks.

He was far more effective in base the next time he fused, which was during the fight with Super Buu.

But during his fight with Super Buu he had been through the RoSaT, and remember this is Base Gotenks, not SSJ.

Was the Gotenks' fight with Majin Buu in the Manga? Or did he just come back beaten, I'm not too sure on this part.

No: He got his ass beat rather comedically in two panels.

And it's for this reason I think Majin Vegeta is slightly superior. Even Gohan who hadn't trained in literally years would be just below him [Gotenks].

My SSJ2 multiplyer is 84 btw (from the base). Regular SSJ is between 7-12 but is being tweaked.

Their power must be similar, or Gotenks wouldn't have escaped Buu with his life.

But he can't beat Vegeta. Vegeta's skills are far, far beyond anything Gotenks had. Even after training in the Time Chamber, most of his attacks were worthless crap. He had nothing before then.

It's really difficult to understand base Gotenks power at that point. I would like to think Vegeta would be superior; but, the power of fuison is pretty incredible. I would have to go with Vegeta, despite that, though.

Gotenks was indeed far inferior in terms of skills to Vegeta. However, it must be accredited to Gotenks that he did somehow escape with his life. As Vegeta may've been able to do the same, it's was quite obvious the beating he took from Buu was far more brutal in terms of looks than Gotenks'. In my humble opinion, Gotenks > SSj2 Majin Vegeta in terms of overall power, but only by a small amount.

Base Gotenks is stronger than SSj2 Majn Vegeta, in my opinion.
The only problem: a lack of experience.

Gotenks was created from two fighters who's only means of "fighting" is sparring with each other. Gotenks lacks any skills for actual battling. So SSj2 Majin Vegeta would most likely find a weakness in Gotenks and use that to his advantage. And not to mention being Majin, he'd definitely play dirty.

Vegeta wins.

Majin Vegeta was on par with Ssj2 Goku.

So if Base Gotenks is superior to Ssj3 Goku if he wants to be, surely he is way superior to Majin Vegeta.

SSj Gotenks is stronger than SSj3 Goku, not base Gotenks.

I would place base Gotenks stronger or equal to Majin Vegeta, however Gotenks doesn't have fight skill and Vegeta lives to fight. Majin Vegeta for me!

I could have sworn that the Fusion Dance technique was far greater than any canon Super Saiyan transformation but whatever, ok.

Guess that puts Gotenks slighly under Ssj3 Goku but still above Ssj2 Goku, therefore that would put him above Ssj2 Vegeta/Majin Vegeta surely, but that's just my opinion.

I'll still go with Gotenks.
