^Not before being humiliated. They are pretty close in over-allness, but Tao has a sharp edge in pwr and 1337 (while Roshi has t3h epic). It would be kind of like Piccolo Damyo v. Goku round 1.

^Tao would anally-rape Roshi in a "real" fight. Btw, Tao proved he was impervious to the Kameha-wave; in a similar way Goku cannot be harmed by the Dodompa.

Didn't Goku's DB block the bulk of the damage from the Dodonpa?

Tao for the win.

Roshi = Goku in tournament. Goku battles with the RR army, maybe getting a little stronger from all the fights. Goku comes across Tao, unleashes a Kamehameha that Tao neither dodges nor stops. Tao is uneffected, and with one dodon blast, nearly kills Goku.

Roshi by the time of the 22nd Budokai. By that time he was almost on an even level with Tien who had about the same strength as Goku. If Roshi hadn't forfeited his fight, there's a very good chance the fight between him and Tien would've ended in a close stalemate, with Tien perhaps being the victor with his youth and variety of techniques. It's very likely that Roshi trained during the three year tournament wait so I'll put it like this:

Tao(23rd Budokai)>>Goku(22nd Budokai)=Tien(22nd Budokai)>=Roshi(22nd Budokai)>>Goku(RR arc, holy water)>Tao(RR arc)>Goku(RR arc)>Roshi(21st Budokai)>=Goku(21st Budokai)

By the 23rd budokai however, Tao would wipe the floor with Roshi, no contest. The mechanical upgrades would definetly out do Roshi in terms of power.

Roshi knew the Dodonpa, Roshi also knew the Kiko ho, Roshi knew that Tao was the crane brother, knowing give him the advantage to prepare a strategy, but i know Tao is faster and stronger.

I believe maximum Kamehame ha from Roshi was way more powerful that the Kamehame ha from Goku when Goku attack Tao, Roshi does what Trunks did against Cell.

Is more even for me.

For me:

Tao (23nd Budokai) >> Goku (22nd budokai) > Tien (22nd budokai) >> Goku (Tao Battle) = Roshi (22nd budokai, buff) > Tao>> (Roshi, 22 nd budokai) >> Roshi (first budokai) = Goku (RR saga).

A big difference =D

Roshi knows Tao, and Tao knows Roshi. They're both masters, even though Tao isn't a claimed one. Really, Tao has an edge of strength and speed on Roshi...and he's a bit younger. Although, Roshi DOES have a huge array of attacks in his repertoire.

I think you overestimate Tao(23rd tourn)

That's not much of an increase for Goku going off to train by himself for 3 years.
