Gohan (cyborg saga pre-Rosat) vs 3rd form freeza

I think that gohan was already able to beat or at least to fight him with some success. Why? Notice that in the Rosat goku wanted him to begin with his ssj training. If gohan had not a base form strong enough, i doubt goku would want to start this kind of training that fast.
Thoughts?

Most people put him equal to Son Goku Freezer fight so yeah that answers the question.

I'm gonna go ahead and agree with Ixidor. But then again, Goku was really putting alot of faith in Gohan, because he knew that Gohan was his only hope.

I think you are going to far, by that time i doubt goku was already thinking on this. After all, mssj goku would be more then enough to beat semiperfect cell, the one it was out when he entered in the Rosat, and there was even the possibility from vegeta to "clean the mess" as he said he would do. Also, even with his perfect cell, i guess most of people didn't believe cell would power up that much.

Gohan. And on reason of that, he wielded the same fuzzy aura only any one of the range of power of Freeza in his true form (using the smallest percentage of depth of potential seen in his organic incarnation) and post-rejuvenation tank Goku (base) and above are seen wielding. I feel his training with SSj Goku and Piccolo over the three years made the benefit of his training (and considering the depths of his latent power) rather base without a conundrum of sorts at view.

Gohan had been training with SSj Son Goku throughout the 3 years before Android arrival, it is plausible that he advanced beyond the 3,000,000 range at least, given that he was a hybrid Saiyan/human, the kind which is shown to advance extremely rapidly throughout the series.
