Cooler (Final Form) vs. Frieza (100%) during the Frieza saga

Coola stated outright that he was stronger than Freeza at 100% in his ultimate (5th) form, and as Goku openly commented in Movie 5:

"Incredible... his Ki is even greater than Freeza's!"

By Goku's reaction on the matter, Coola wasn't just marginally stronger - stronger by a margin that would be a noticeable gap, if not a stretch of a one. I don't think Coola would grossly mismatch Freeza to the point of taking a punch nonchalantly and stand there. More along the lines of the Complete Cell (powered up) vs. MSSj Goku (full power) bout. Freeza at 100%'s Deathball (as related to non-canon discussion), in paragon, could prove to be a hindrance to Coola, as the actual combatant that wields the ball has proven on more than one occassion that there's a wide gap in power betwen the actual user's Chi level and the Deathball (IE: the case where SSj Goku had a toilsome time controlling the downward force of the transformed Coola's Deathball... going on a limb to say he wasn't stronger than the Deathball... whereas there was already quite a gap between the ultimate non-meta Coola and SSj Goku in power). Not that it isn't completely extraneous here.

On a parting note - Coola in his final form is above Freeza at 100%... enough to say that he'd have the permeating advantage in that fight.

I think what gets people so confused, was the way Cooler could hardly do anything to SSJ Goku, while 100% Frieza actually did some damage. If the quote, "His Ki is greater than Friezas, doesn't get to the ears of people, then nothing will.

I concede that this would be, in nature, a glancing loophole of the Movie outside of what most people are oblivious to... the massive Zenkai that incurred for Goku, bringing him up to an equal footing with Coola in his 4th form and enough for him to have been shown to have been substantially the stronger one out of the two in his Super Saiyan state, but not so much that he wouldn't have a toilsome time controlling the downward force of Coola's Deathball (I reiterate). Enough for him to register the full-force punch Coola delivers to him like being pricked by a flea, as if he were unaffected, not in jocose. This all taken to heart, I feel sense becomes prevalent in regards to the spoken conundrum.

Well if im not mistaken Cooler States he WAS weaker until he went to his 5th form...
Plus The Goku that fought Cooler is stronger and had fought as SS1 before thats why Cooler got his ass kicked!

The fight with Coola took place after the fight with Furiza. Goku was most likely much stronger then when he fought Furiza, which would explain why Coola couldn't damage him.
Coola would win, it is stated that he is stronger then Furiza when he's at his fifth form.

Super Saiyan 2!? Unless that wasn't a serious sidenote, if I may be so bemused, not to speak in disparaging light, but Goku at that point never fought in the SSj 2 state nor did he combat a SSj 2 (nor would had he even be able to surpass the SSj state for bragging rights, that he doesn't know the relative threshold of the multiplier is yet untapped with inhibition). None of the movies are meant to fall in place with the canon-timeline, but at the latest Movie 5 would be in the span of the 3-years of training for the foreboded bout with the Cyborgs.

To get to the meat of said discussion, the SSj Goku that defeated Coola was indeed much stronger than the one on Namek (at least I feel such, he gets more than marginal growth at best), which in turn explains why Coola couldn't do much to SSj Goku but the worldly affect of nothing (outside of the Deathball scenario).

That's just what the movies are like, Villain comes, Villain is equal or slightly more power than the heroes. Villain radomly transforms and get's huge power boost and kicks heroe's @$$. Hero gets random power up and defeats Villain. That's what all the DBZ movies are like.

That's because Goku was not as strong fighting Freeza as he was with Coola. The fight With Coola takes place after the fight with Freeza, therefore Goku would be more skilled and he would be stronger.
