Well, talking about Sayian's Saga, that would be a fair match, but as time goes by and the sagas go on, a difference of 2 is nothing.
Until Goku's comeback on the Sayain Saga to face Nappa and Vegeta, he and Piccolo were pretty equal. So the best tactician and the most devoted would win. |

I was actually going to post this fight a few days ago but decided not to. I thought it over and gave the fight to Goku. They both would be wearing no weighted clothes like in their DragonBall fight therefore giving their power a slight increase to 416 and 408. Now, as you can see, Goku and Piccolo basically have a 1.02 difference in power. This fight is *very* close. Almost dead even.
Goku had no new moves where Piccolo had the Light of Death now at his disposal. However, it took so much time to charge, Goku would have aleady had him beaten. But if Piccolo didn't try to the Light of Death, it would all come down to a slug fest. And even though it would be just about as close as in DragonBall, Goku would still win. |

What I dont get is that Piccolo was training for 5 years (i think) while Goku was being a Dadfy and had almost no time to train. yet Goku whne Piccolo and GOku fought Radtiz Goku was stronger!

Nope. Never in the entire series of DragonBall did Goku recieve a Zenkai. If I'm not mistaken, Akira Toriyama didn't think of Zenkais until after DragonBall had ended and needed a way to make his characters strong enough to match Freeza.
See, he dug himself into a hole saying Freeza's power was 530,000. Until then, the highest power level was 90,000 (not counting things such as Kaio-ken). Therefore, gave people massive zenkais to make the story actualy make sense and not just say something and get away with it. |

Goku ofcourse. Yet it all depends on whose side you're on because it doesn't matter who is stronger or faster. Obviously if you're a fan of Goku, your answer is going to be Goku. If you're a fan of Piccolo, you're answer would be Piccolo.

I would say Goku would emerge as the victor.

It would be a VERY close fight but I'd give it to Piccolo. When Piccolo fired his Special Beam Cannon Raditz barely dodged it. If Raditz is several times fatster than Goku so Goku would have almost no chace of dodging it at all.

Not once is it stated that Goku has not trained. Actually, Master Roshi thought that Goku would get weaker in a time of peace...but he actually got stronger.
Goku Advantages: Slighty Higher Power Level, Many attacks at his disposal, Better Martial Artist Piccolo's Advantages: Special Beam Cannon, Regeneration But Special Beam Cannon takes a long time to charge..... Goku takes this. |
