Son Goku vs Son Gohan

These two have saved the universe and they have the power to destroy it. So I ask, who's the strongest? Who would win in a fight? Will it be Son Goku, the Legendary Super Saiya-Jin. Or is it, Son Gohan, the Reluctant Hero.

Any time before the Cell saga, Goku wins with no problem at all. During
the Cell Games, Gohan was stronger. Early Buu saga, Goku is stronger.
From the time Gohan is powered up by the Elder Kaioshin until the end
of Dragonball Z, Gohan would be Goku with ease. As for GT....well GT
sucks so who really gives a damn?

I would like to say Gohan could win because of that Elder Kai boost he
got. Once that happened, he became tremendously strong.

Ultimate Gohan will PWN Goku no mater what ss4 form he takes. Cause he has the mystical power up and defeats Super Buu with ease. Ss3 Goku had to struggle with Fat Buu.

In the Majin Buu saga, after Gohan had his power maxed out, he would win no problem. I'm not sure about ten years later though (the Uub battle) when Gohan stopped fighting again. Yup, in the end Goku would probably win.

I still don't understand why you said that chou gohan is stronger then goku when he couldn't defeat kid boo... Goku clearly asked to vegeta if he wanted to resurect everybody in order to call for gohan and gotenks' help, and vegeta said he prefers to make a genki ball.... And vegeta said that only goku could fight kid boo and that goku was the number 1, and this among several statements about how strong goku was. I just don't get it...

1. When Vegeta made the statement of Goku being #1, everyone else was dead so, techically speaking, he was number one.

2. The reason why Vegeta did not want to bring back Gohan and/or
Gotenks is not because they wouldn't be capable of defeating Kid Buu,
but because he wanted the people of Earth to be in charge of their own
fates for once. How could they do that? The Genki Dama.

3. Gohan>Gotenks>Super Buu>Goku>Kid Buu. This is all stated and/or shown.

1 Have you ever heard about the dragon balls?

2 Lol, vegeta chose to do that because it was the only way out. Goku and vegeta were hald-dead and fat boo was being comletly owned by kid boo, if gohan or gotenks could have kill kid boo in an instant, vegeta would never do that.

3 Where it was stated? Where?

To finish: goku, with the energy from piccolo, goten, trunks and GOHAN, hadn't a strong enough genki ball to destroy kid boo, he had to ask for everybody else on earth to gave him energy in order to destroy boo...

Umm Son Gohan Would win if you would go by the Manga. In the Anime though Son Goku Would win. But Manga is better and therefor Son Gohan Pwnz Son Goku....

Besides Akira wanted Gohan to be the strongest in DBZ.

It really depends on whether its the manga or the tv show. Because there is such a huge difference with the powerlevels between the two.
