Well, a 1.3x power difference could be devistating in Dragonball. Goku couldn't have trained in the RoSaT, since it can only be used twice in a lifetime, gravity chambers probably wouldn't have the kind of effect they used to because of how strong he was, and he couldn't, like..train in otherworld. Gohan should have far more potential than Goku in the first place, logically, so I doubt the situation would be very good for Goku in any case.

That is what i am saying, i am asuming Goku can grow in 10 years of non stoping training, the same of one or 2 years of room of spirit and time, and he can go beyond. when he went to train with Ubb, basically, Goku has show progres double or triple in every of his training in DB, before Roshi, after Roshi is aprox 3 times his previous, strenght. Karin say also he triplicate his power after his training with him, with Kami is more, etc. you are ignoring DB and only base your opinion in DBZ, Goku if only duplicate his SSJ3 is a huge power up, and duplicate his power is the minimum he will do in 10 years.

Like I said, he can't use the Room of Spirit and Time, Gohan's limits are higher than his, and at that level of power, most methods of training on earth would not benifit him nearly as much as long ago.

Gohan is my favorite character (at least his Teen, Future, and Ultimate self) so I'm going to say that Gohan wins but I'll only be kidding myself because Goku always has to win.

The only reason why Goku reached SSj3 was because of his intense 7 year training period in Other World. Even with all that time he was not able to sustain SSj3 for that long. Plus, you've got to remember that the RoSaT is a training dimension where you benefit many times faster then you would out on Earth. One, Earth's gravity isn't that heavy at all. Two, the elemental conditions in the RoSaT fluctuate to dangerous levels, making your training immensely intense. If it were not for these things, Goku would never be as strong as he was in the Buu Arc. So, even during the 10 year training period on Earth, it's very possible he did not recieve the same increase as before, during his time in Other World, where mortal laws do not exist because he's already dead. [which is why it was much easier for him to have reached SSj3]

I think through power after the old kais potential releasing Gohan could easily pound Goku so really Gohan would be the winner. But if it was actually put in the manga they would probably make Goku find some special way when he is all beaten up to beat Gohan but in reality I don't think that woud really happen.

Goku not only reach Supersaiyan 3 in the after life, he reach 2 and 3. two supersaiyan levels

Yes there are conditions like being dead and high gravity will help to improve further, but he increase in DB a lot without those conditions and he has the basics from all his masters to increase alone and without the help of gravity.

Besides he saw mistic Gohan power, and i believe Goku will try to surpass that in a 10 years periods, he is Goku.

I´m going to resume Goku progress, just to make you remain who Goku is. (I like Gohan but my favorite character is Goku, obvious, for me he is the one that never stop improving, no matter the conditions)

After training with Roshi they calculated they increase 3 times his previous power and speed.
