The humans are shown using weights with Kami and in the next 6 months. Do you think they used them later on? If not, why do you think they stopped?

I'm pretty sure that Kuririn kept wearing them, since he has the same blue shirt on in the Android Saga that was stated to be weighted in the Saiyan Saga.

I remember Krillin takin the weighted shirt off on namek, but I never remembered him with weights in the Android saga. Even so, there was a point where they just didn't matter anymore. Piccolo was the only one who was still using them in my opinion.

Kuririn is wearing weights by the looks of it.
![]() However, he still wears the blue shirt when fighting the Cell Jr. ![]() So either the blue shirt is no longer weighted, or Kuririn simply just didn't have the time to remove it, and it is indeed weighted.

When were they shown using weighted clothing? I don't remember this.

Well they probably took them off before a battle as for Krillin in the Cell Games he probably wore a shirt similar.

Pic 1: Yaijirobe commenting on how they are wearing weighted shirts
Pic 2: Humans(-Yaijirobe) shown training with weight shirts Pic 3: Krillin removes weight shirt before going to fight. Tien and Chaotzu have removed their shirts Also, remember everyone went to the Cell games with the expectation of fighting one on one, Krillin would wear the shirt then take it off before his duel. Instead, the Cell Jr's just charge at him. And I don't see the logic in how weights would stop working. Would training at x10 gravity be useless at PL:10 billion, being only as effective as training at x1 gravity? Also, is it possible Tien trained with weights in the android saga? His training is never shown, and it seems weird he would stop using them unless theres a good reason why they would have no effect.

So Krillin was weighted in the Android saga hmmm......
If you look at the clothes Tien had with Kami and when he fired the Kikohos they look like the same clothes but he just doesnt have one side of the shirt ![]()

I don't see why the serious fighters, like Kuririn, Tenshinhan and Piccolo would cease wearing weighted clothes.
We first see the weighted boots, shirt and wristbands worn by Goku in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai. It's safe to assume that the same items of clothing (regardless of who's wearing them) are always weighted. But this can't be always true, for example - Goku keeps them on when fighting Nappa/Vegeta. I can understand him not needing the extra power/speed against Nappa, but surely against Vegeta he would've required all necessary strength? There are more instances, like the ones already posted in this topic. Perhaps the extra clothing just automatically became standard in the orange gi outfit, regardless of the weight. AT probably liked the way it looked and stuck with it, haha.

King Kai made him a special suit of lightweight strong material just before he left his planet. It looks the same as the weight suit but is not weighted.
And well done Remix, well done. I never spotted that. I am amazed, you have just rapestomped my Android Saga possibilites for Tiens power, making them much larger. I'm kicking myself very hard for not seeing that the last 50 times I read that part...

Ah right, I forgot about that. Interesting though, considering the wristbands, shirt and boots were not part of the original gi. Would it be safe to assume then, that after that point in time Goku ceases to wear weighted clothes altogether? And that the Z Senshi do also?

No, that suit was ruined by the battle with Vegeta. My opinion is if it has the dark undershirt, its probably weighted. Although it is indeed possible to go either way.

It can go either way, for example I always wondered why Goku kept that darker shirt on during the fight with Freeza, when he's using the Kaioken.

Makes more sense that its not weighted. But its entirely possible he switches to weights while training or w/e. Perhaps only Piccolo uses weights Post Frieza because he can just materialise 10 ton weights to wear, while everyone else has to settle for maybe 200kg weights or something which would not have much effect by then?

Possibly. I'm not much of a physicist, but I think it's safe to assume that the stronger your body becomes, weights would have less of an effect on you physically.
