Ok, do we know how Ki works? I have come up with a concept that surely has been thought of before, and here it is:

The powerlevel 5 reading of the human, has nothing to do with their strength. It could just be the ki generated by simply living. Hulking man, and skinny man, would both be PL:5 even though hulking man may be x2 stronger than skinny man. DBZ dinosaurs, even though they are 100x stronger than a man may only be PL:6 or 7, not because PL:6 or 7 is enough to be 100x stronger, but because they are a larger creature therefore generating more ki. When a human learns to use his PL of 5, perhaps thats already enough to lift buildings and crap. And in the same way, a Saiyan with a PL of seven million would be just as weak as a human if he had no idea whatsoever of how to use his ki, not even on an instinctual level.

Crap I hate not being able to explain things well... but the idea is that the human would just be a bunch of nerves and muscles with nothing to do with ki, strength speed etc would be detirmined by physics in how much this much muscle tissue can lift etc. However, if he can tap into the ki in his body he can use it to massively increase strength or speed by flowing all this life force through his arm. His punch strength, would be the muscle strength of his arm + the strength of the ki being projected through it. Eventually, someone like SSJ Goku's punch would be 5(muscle strength)+150,000,000 of ki or something like that.

I hope that made some small amount of sense. The alternative makes even less sense...

Well for what it's worth I somewhat understand what you're saying I don't know what to think of this theory I'm not sure I guess they're PL on a scouter would show up no matter how stupid and unskilled a person is but a person who can use their power would of course win in a fight.

Yeah I agree with you 100% Goku does not have the mass to generate the strength he generates thus I think its all about how you apply your ki

I'll give it a shot; not for the reps though:

There are two classes of fighters in the DBZ world, the weak and the strong. The weak rely on their physical side and have no idea how to manipulate ki, their training regimen are all about trying to better their muscles, tendons, reaction, speed whatever. Then there are those who learn to manipulate ki. Ki is an energy within everyone, the strong fighters train to grow this energy and then to control it so that they can harness it and apply it to their body so that it amplifies their ablities.

This is not to say that Ki is all about multiplying power like say the Kaioken or SSJ forms but rather finding a part of themselves that they are not aware of when they are given birth.

You see, petty races like the humans do not know they can harness their energy and apply it to their bodies; sometimes that's what adrenaline does it just hastens the burning of resources to produce more energy. In DBZ this is done on a much larger scale that eventually mass and physique become peripheral.

Saiya-jins are one of the races that are born with a natural ki ability (this is seen when Goku succeeds at a kamehameha on his first try) but this is because the saiya-jins have evolved in a fighting environment where ki is the main weapon, this makes the manipulation of ki more natural to the future generations of the race, not unlike the way humans are naturally more intelligent than saiya-jins.

I think that's all, is it good? Or did you mean something different?

Ki is not just those little blasts the characters make; it's your aura, your life force. It's hard for English speaking fans to understand, because the word ki doesn't really mean anything to them. I mean, humans all have ki, but most can't manipulate it. But even a girl like Videl was able to learn how eventually.

I guess I don't really know what I'm trying to say, either.

Not bad, I expected worse. Bold is correct. If peripheral means irrelevant, your spot on their. Not sure what you meant by amplify, but it sounded like you meant multiply or something.

Everyone seems to forget that Goku was trained, Saiyans could naturally be PL:6 for all we know.
