I hadn't realized that his training habits were so deeply explored in the series! :D

come on CMG its his training he has to have mastered it before and do you all really believe that Roshi trained that hard? Cause I can't really picture him training at all and I'm referring to the 22nd budokai since there's no doubt in my mind that he didn't train for the 21st.

And why would Toriyama waste panels showing Roshi invent new techniques? The fact is, he obviously benefits from his training.

Yes he does, never said he didn't but not by that amount. Plus my point is about the 21st. I think that by the 22nd he's higher than 139 and after that he just goes back to 139 'cause I believe he retires after the 22nd.

22nd; 145 Start of Z: 139 Would something like that even work?

He blew up the moon with a PL of 10,000? Realistic
He shouldn't have been able to do it with a powerlevel below 4 digits

The fact that roshi was at most about 350 for the kamehameha, probably much lower. The moon is something like a quarter of the earth's size. Raditz should have been able to destroy the Earth. With a whole planet of Raditz's, Planet Vegeta would have been annilated long b4 Frieza got there, if not during the Tuffle Saiyan war thing.
