Also note that the first part of that scan (which I left untranslated at the time) has Gohan thinking that the three of them can somehow beat first form Freeza. That's another reason I put the two of them so high.

IMO Vegeta, after becoming SSJ, shouldv'e destroyed Earth from his ship on his way back from training, then shouldv'e went around the galaxy finishing off all of frieza's bases/planets/forces :P.

I always got the sense Vegeta was some what grateful that he was wished backed to life. Even though he would never admit it. I also started to see a big change when he was explaining the Saiyan story, he actually was emotional for the first time. Also, by this point he main concern was to beat goku, he already forgot about his revenge on earth.

I agree with you 100%. I've always believed after attempting to confront his demons, Frieza, and understanding that Goku is more than a mere saiyan grunt, he thought of his place and Goku in a different way. This theory is ignoring the later sagas after the Frieza saga. For all we know, Vegeta could've planned to live the rest of his life like a human would.

Vegeta had his pride to appease first. He wanted to get the same shot he had when he first came to earth and wanted to beat all of the earthlings at once. This is why he wanted to go SSJ. I think he would've beaten them, beaten Goku to his last breath and then left him there to try and survive since I think that in the back of his mind he wanted to be square with Goku for letting him go.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that his pride prevented him from destroying the earth, he didn't want to feel obligated for being helped by the earthlings
