It was never really stated or anything, but I don't see why not, considering he could go SSJ2.

Yes he was, we can see the aura of a MSSJ in the Buu Saga, IIRC. And I think you need to master a form so you can achieve the next one.

After realizing what Goku & Gohan did, he didn't try to master it. I believe seven years of training would persuade him to actually use the more effective way of training, which was to master the form like them.

So yes, he was a MSSJ in my opinion.

Yes, in my opinion he was MSSJ, seven years trying is more than enough to easliy master that form, so Vegeta probably mastered it in 4 years, as he was always training hard.

Well, if he could go SSJ2, im pretty sure he mastered the SSJ state by now.

I doubt Goku mastered the SSJ2 state before he achieved SSJ3. He was stronger than SSJ2 Kid Gohan but not to an extent that could imply he mastered SSJ2. Almost all PL list makers have mastered SSJ 40x(or even more) stronger than a regular one. IF Goku ever mastered the SSJ2 state it could be at the end of DBZ.

I beg to differ....

Son Goku didn't master the Super Saiyan 2 state to transform into a Super Saiyan 3. Nor did Son Goten or Chibi Trunks master the Super Saiyan 2 in order to transform into a Super Saiyan 3 onced fused.

It's quite possible that he mastered it. Take point in Vegeta training with Chibi Trunks (if its not filler) during the start of the Buu saga. Vegeta trained specifically only in Super Saiyajin so I assume that over time he would have mastered Super Sayaijin.

Son Goku that whilst transforming into the different transformations for Majin Buu by biding time for Trunks it wasted to much energy. Baba also says performances...meaning more than one. They can't mean Super Saiyan one as it has no strain anymore. So that only leaves Son Goku turning into a Super Saiyan 2 and 3.

Also Son Goku mentioned to Vegeta whilst inside the Super Sayian 2 state that very were wasting valuable time and energy or something like that. Whilst talking...if Super Saiyan 2 was mastered there would be no reson for Son Goku to say such things.
