Anybody know why Toriyama decided to raise Piccolo's fighting power by 7 levels after the Raditz fight?

Well that was a day later, right? Maybe during the fight with Raditz, Piccolo got a good workout and then rested and recovered. I could see that happening, Piccolo is no Saiyan but I still think Non-Saiyan characters get a little stronger after fighting.

Everybody gets stronger from fighting. Considering all the stuff Piccolo went through in that battle its a surprisingly small increase.

Obviously his power was raised by the workout he got fighting Radditz. It's not that hard to believe.

Piccolo would slit her throat if she insulted his power level.

I think Piccolo likely got stronger, because that was an intense battle. Piccolo didn't do much except build up his chi, but it was still a difficult battle.

Maybe when Bulma fixed the scouter it had a few errors?

But its probably just because he got a tiny workout from the fight.

He also made himself new weighted clothes, so it could have been slightly off.

Its probably a mistake made by Akira. 7 points in that time are gained through like a few months of training...

Didn't Piccolo use the same weights he had against Raditz? I don't think he made any new ones. I also agree that it's not a mistake, just a boost in power.

I don't know, he could have just picked it up, or made a new one easily. He always seems to throw them all over the place.
