Vegeto was a cool character, in fact he's one of the few reasons, besides Vegeta (second form) that stop me from hating the Buu saga all together.

It's amazing that they got Goku... and somehow, made him a good character.

I didn't think it was possible.

Then at the end they made him into a douchebag. Poor Chi, poor everybody. He's like that shitty friend who never calls you and doesn't worry when you're upset.

He wasn't pussified, he simply completed the shift he'd been doing ever since the start of DBZ; he went from fighter to mentor. The same as Goku did at the end of Z.

I don't hate the Buu Saga, but I think the series should have ended at the Cell Saga or I would have liked it if they didn't make Oob and just concluded the series with the Episode "Celebrations with Majin Buu".

Cell Arc, definitely. Gohan unlocks his hidden power and becomes the new saviour of the earth; Goku sacrifices himself for the sake of the earth; Trunks saves his future after years of torture; Piccolo finally re-unites with Kami; Vegeta completes his character evolution; Tien is still useful etc. It just seemed like the perfect time to end it.

The Buu arc on the other hand, had so many intolerable things about it, such as: Goku became an annoying character (his character peaked in the Freeza arc for me, but at least he remained a good character throughout the Cell arc); SSJ3 was overkill; Vegeta became even more annoying; Gohan now had more potential (why?); Trunks and Goten sucked etc. There are so many more things wrong with this arc, but I'm not going to continue because if I did, I'd be here all day listing reasons.

Buu Saga made me not hate Hercule. It took a while, but it happened.

Buu Saga had Vegeta actually say he gave a damn about his family, yes mushy stuff but important character developement. Vegeta was one of the most detailed and changing characters of the bunch.

I thought it was cool that Goten had become a SSJ so suddenly and that it was his mother that helped trained him. So for those that hated Chi Chi and whined, she did what was right and important all the time.

I liked SSJ3, never got the reason why they HAD to get rid of eyebrows.
I do think that the character of Buu being able to regenerate was a lazy Cell copying trait.

All non Saiyans/part Saiyans were reduced to trash. I reckon Goku and co should have been owned by the unstoppable Buu, then Vegeta sacrifices himself to destroy him. Fade to black, DBZ is over!
