In Bardock the father of Goku you don't hear anything about King Vegeta being killed by Frieza, but in the flashback in the Frieza Saga you see Vegeta and his men getting wiped out by Frieza on his spaceship, you would think this would be some time during the Bardock Special but if that was happening don't you think all of planet vegeta would know about it?
Is this a plot hole? |

I think he took his Royal Guard with him; he's not in the public eye 24/7 y'know.

Here's the flashback. You can see Bardock at the end.

Didn't Vegeta attack Freeza's ship with his group? I'm pretty sure the entire planet is not going to hear about a quick sneak attack by Vegeta. They didn't even believe Bardock when he told them that Freeza was going to destroy the planet.

Even if it is filler, it doesn't go against the story in any kind of way. If anything, it could be considered canon in my opinion.

The manga shows two panels of Burdock. The first panel shows Burdock when he confronted Freeza in front of his ship. Freeza mentions that Goku "looks just like the Saiya-jin who resisted until the end." The next panel shows Burdock being blown away by Freeza's Death Ball with a dialog box explaining how neither Freeza nor Goku knew that Burdock was Son Goku's father.

It's not a plot hole by necessity (at least, I wouldn't profess it as such). Even though when pressing through the anime, plot holes are indeed abound, just because King Vegeta's death wasn't shown in complete conjunction with the timeline of the events of the Burdock movie doesn't mean it didn't come to fruition. In the anime - that is. Many flashbacks were shown that chose to focus on the last few actions of Burdock, never regretting his conscience (which I somewhat am in agreeance with and feel is inherent) and mustering that quick attack (if intended to kill? even though it could do little against Freeza, lucidly) on Freeza that was utterly dwarfed by the death ball, and Planet Vegeta's destruction, substituting political matters with action.
But yes, the Burdock movie is anime canon. Manga canon... not so much. Just the two panels that are shown, as aforementioned before me.

I don’t think its a plot hole, king Vegeta was killed in freeze ship so there is no reason to think that didn’t happen a few minutes early
