Gohan's Sash

On the cover of Volume 17 of the DBZ manga, Gohan is shown in Piccolo's uniform with a red sash. But he uses a blue sash in the Cell Game. Was this red sash Gohan's original look, and Toriyama just changed it, or is this something that he drew for the fun of it, and his partners used the red sash for the movies?

The anime was blue and the manga has a red one on the cover. I don't think it's anything significant.

Actually, I believe Piccolo initially wore a red sash in DB, and thus Gohan would be wearing one as well, from the manga's viewpoint.

Anyway, the reason why I ask this is because we see Piccolo and Gohan wearing red sashes in the DBZ movies. (Movies 7, 8, 9)

That's why I think it's a complete toss up between the two. It doesn't really matter though does it?

Sort of. In my case it does, as somewhat of a determining factor. If Gohan is actually supposed to be wearing a red sash, and we see him in Movie 8 wearing Piccolo's shoes...well it's only an indication.

Well, if you look at the manga, doesn't Goku wear a blue sash? So Piccolo's clothes but with Goku's blue sash is a good middle ground for where Gohan stands.

Agree with Tyro, it has always been red in the manga.

That picture that Madness pointed out with the four Gohans was a manga chapter cover.
It was for either the chapter before Gohan becomes SSj2, or the chapter of. I can't remember which one.

The only versions of the colored manga available now are the Kenzaban, which you can buy from the the Amazon Japan site. I, unfortunately, don't own them and probably won't.

Tyro's current avy is from the colored manga, so is LegendarySSj7's.
