What's FUNimation's problem?
I was watching the new remastered Season 4 and the same, stupid "I've known Goku since he was 5 years old" crap was spoken. Why the hell can't FUNi just fix this kind of crap and have Bulma say "12"? If I remember correctly, they fixed some dialogue in the Saiyan Saga (except for several power level readings), so what's the deal?
It makes me wonder how much the voice actors actually know about DBZ to utter such a line without some kind of protest.

The voice actors don't know much about DBZ at all, they're just actors and they act for a bunch of anime.

The VAs probably know very little past the lines that they speak. It's just a job to them.

Its not that big of a deal...Funimation still does a pretty good job. If you want 100% accuracy just read the manga :P

It sure as heck is not accurate, but you could contest that "dub" Bulma was making a hyperbole just to keep Vegeta calm (rein nonwithstanding). Not that it matters, though - I feel they should have started fresh at that point than bothered with bygones of any sort. It was at a point where FUNimation still provided little accuracy and had little respect for the original Japanese version in their dubbing. Listen to Yamcha's catfood commercial lines and what have you for further inaccuracy and inaneness on all accounts.
