Android 16's Bearhug on Cell

This particular topic didn't truly phase me until now. Android 16 is far weaker than Perfect Cell and Semi-Perfect Cell. In DBZ, when your opponent is much weaker than you, you are pretty much invulnerable to all their moves and attacks. I unceasingly questioned why couldn't Perfect Cell escape Android 16's bearhug?

My only solution was that Cell was to worried about what Android 16 said about "nobody, no matter how strong you are, you can't survive my explosion."

Any suggestions?

I think he was to scared to think about what to do. Even if he had escaped, 16 would just step a little closer and he'd still get the near-edge part of the explosion, which would weaken him to a point in which the Z-fighters could quikly defeat him before he regenerated.

That's actually a good solution. I think that Cell was a just little bit more worried about death than of finding a way to escape 16's bearhug.

Cell could have escaped if he wanted to, he just let #16 hug him for drama.

What Devilz said.

The only level of Cell #16 could really put an effective lock-on, is Imperfect Cell. Any Cell above that would break out of it with no real effort. If Cell could easily lift his finger up and blast him, then he could throw him off.

I agree definitlly the worst logic ever...Cell could demolish 16 in a sec but was probabaly scared of the fact that the bomb could go explode anyminutes

The fact that the bear hug is a strong grab. I could effectively hold someone much stronger than me for a short time with such a grab. Same deal with Goku holding Raditz, is Raditz was weakened down to Goku's PL, then Goku and Piccolo could of tag teamed him instead of the SBC

Yup was gonna mention Goku grabbing Raditz in the same way...maybe it was a retro moment. But it's hard to get out of a bear hug from behind. You have difficulty moving and shaking them up.

Chaozu kinda grabbed Nappa too, but then again he was so damn small that it doesn't really count seeing as Nappa's hands couldn't even reach him.

As soon as the threat of the bomb went, Cell had no trouble blasting 16 into teeny teeny pieces.
