Did Gotenks skip SS2?

Just wondering coz we never see it, so do Gotenks only know how to go SS1 and SS3?

If so what would you have that multiplyer be?

Do you think SS3 Gotenks is 3x, 5x, 6x, 10x stronger than SS1 Gotenks? how much?

He does reach SSJ2, but it's only for a bit. You have to really look at the manga to see it. I think SSJ3 Gotenks is only 3-4x more powerful then SSJ Gotenks.

Well no, that could easily be his powerup to SSJ3. There's no conclusive SSJ2 with Gotenks.

Many argue that Gotenks was a SSJ2, and some think it's just the transition to SSJ3. I personally think this is the case however he might be able to go SSJ2 however I think he did skip it.

He had regular(not long) hair and lightning aura. Seems pretty indictive of SSJ2 to me...

Well, to reach SSJ2, you need SSJ. I believe the same applies for SSJ3. If not, then why call it SSJ3 if it's not even a form that follows SSJ2?

The numbering is the just the order they found them in. The way Goku describes it, you don't need to be SSJ2 to go SSJ3.

I ;p You need Ssj2 to able on Ssj3...it's Super Saiyan 2 beyond...It additional transformation, as at Ssj was USsj...

Anyway, I think he'd have to have reached Super Saiyan 2. Why not? And if anyone's saying he skipped it because he never transformed into it before turning into a Super Saiyan 3, look at this:

I agree with Chibi, Goku skipped.

Also, if it's canon, base Goten and Trunks fused right before they were absorbed by Boo, and Gotenks came out SSj3.

So I don't think it's required to go through each SSj stage to reach higher levels, but it's probably easier to reach them by doing it that way because each transformation is simply a modified version of the previous form.

Also the Daizenshuu doesn't label Gotenks as SSj2, but the perfect files do.
