Default Cell could clone himself?

It just crossed my mind. But we know that Cell has the ability to regenerate from 1 cell.

So when he was fighting SSJ2 Gohan couldn't he just scrape off a few of his cells on his own body, then let those cells regenerate into full "Cell's"?

He could have created thousand's of "Cell's" easy and owned Gohan.

lol

Did you get that idea from Buu? lol

I don't think he can do it, that'd be cheating.

Cell wouldn't care if it were cheating ^)^
I don't think he can multiply himself without splitting his energy for each clone.

Actually Seru cannot regenerate his body from a single cell, as this is a false rumor brought about by the anime (particularly the dub). In reality, there is a lump of tissue in Seru's brain (sometimes called a regenerative node) that is responsible for him regenerating damaged parts of his body. It was that regenerative node that survived when he self destructed on Kaiou-sama's planet, allowing him to regenerate.

Now you're probably going to say "Explain then why he could regenerate after Gokuu's Kamehameha blew his head and torso away?". A long standing theory of mine is that he also has a secondary regenerative node somewhere in his lower body as a fail safe system, in case the primary node is destroyed, or at least damaged enough that it can no longer trigger a regeneration. It would act to regenerate the body and restore the primary node to working order, then go dormant again until such time as it is needed again.

In short, he can't regenerate himself from a single cell, and wouldn't be able to produce copies of himself in the manner you are suggesting.

And let's remember that Cell is one entity, and the cells in his body only regenerate that one entity.

He could pull out half of that regenerative node, let it regenerate the other half, and then the pulled out part would regenerate as well.

But I don't think Cell wanted any competition

If Cell has Piccolo's Cells, how can Cell now be able to spawn his own duplicates as the original Piccolo did to create Piccolo Jr?

In the latin dub, Cell said that he has only one "expecial" cell in his head able to regenerate.

Well, while not 100% accurate, that is a closer translation than Funimation's dub. Just remember it was not in actuality a single cell, but a small lump of tissue.
