Y does ssj have to have a multiplier

I don't understand why everyone is fixated on having an exact multiplier for turning ssj. Why can't the multiplier be different according to the amount of training.

Um yeah, actually a lot of people don't have a fixed multiplier for it.

Because some people think its weird, that Goku would go from 3 million and x50, to 100 million and x10. Also, for people who do think that way, you could also say Goku goes from 3 million and +147 million, to 100 million and +900 million. That way the Super Saiyan boost increases which makes more sense.

And don't forget, the Kaoken is proven to go up to x20 at least. If SSJ was say, x5, and Goku was having trouble with Cell. Why did he not turn Kaokenx20 and instantly kill Cell?

As human beings, we are not happy with just leaving things unanswered, and so we try and come up with explanations for everything. To deny us of this, would be like denying people of their right to ask "Why?"

I think that only Vegeto's multiplier is below 20. The others are above 20

Well I don't have a "Fixed" multiplier I believe once you master the SSJ Form your multiplication factor stays the same forever. I believe it only fluctuates when you haven't mastered it.

I completely agree that the concept of a multiplier does hinder creativeness. There's not really any indication of there being any multiplier in the whole manga, and it's just supposition created by natural human logic. We like to be able to feel as we're in control of things, and created some way of predicting that helps.

Multiplier or not is up to you. You can make a power level list amazingly different to that of anyone else and it doesn't matter, as long as the manga supports you.

Hardly. The sentence you posted in response was a highly flammable one. It was a dismissal, almost a "I expect no better from the likes of you" post. Taking a slight offence from a post like that is nothing to be ashamed of.

Anyway, the point of my thesis is that no power levels past the Freeza Arc are documented and therefore the relationships between power could very easily have changed. The theories from the early part of Dragon Ball Z are not concrete and unchangable and people accept that in the case of the decreasing multiplier. The theories are fallible.
