Ok, does it actually double the users power? I know the english manga has a Narrator panal that says it does, but King Kai says "Increase it no more than twice your normal power understand?"

But then, it isn't until Kaokenx3 that Goku makes any mention that he could explode from using it(aside from the description of all Kaoken's to K Dogg and G Unit)

And on top of that, King Kai says "No! You should never go beyond two fold Goku!"

Is it possible that Kaokenx1 is not a x2 increase?

No. It does double your power. You should know that narrator always says the truth, cos Narrator = writer = Akira.

Firstly, before someone asks, my quotes are from the Official Viz Translation. King Kai's statements possibly contradict the Narrator's statement. So it comes down to two things

A) Does what KK say actually contradict the Narrator's statement
B) Which is more important, statements from the Narrator or King Kai

King Kai's "No! You should never go beyond two fold Goku!" implies that Kaokenx2 is double your power, meaning either Kaoken is not double your power, or Kaokenx2 is identical to Kaokenx1.

2. King Kai told him not to go BEYOND the kaioken 2x, or, in other words, not to go to kaioken x3 or above.

So you just ignore King Kai's statement, and go with something that makes no sense?

QTF means quoted for truth. It was a bad use of the term...

This is the page, where KK tells Goku not to more than double his power with the Kaoken.

Then on another page later on, he says "No, don't use more than the two fold Kaoken", implying that the Kaokenx2 is what actually doubles your power.

Now that i think about it, there was nothing to suggest it can only be used in 2x bursts, maybe it can be used below 2x!

The Kaiou-ken and the Kaiou-ken x2 are two different terms for the exact same power-up. For all intents and purposes, the narrator of the story is totally omniscient, so the fact that the narrator states that the regular Kaiou-ken has doubled Gokuu's battle power is completely correct.

All that Kaiou-sama warned about was for Gokuu not to use the Kaiou-ken 3x or higher, since he had not spent the time to condition his body to withstand the stress of raising his battle power beyond twice its normal limits.

I think that the kaio kenX2 lessens the strain of the kaio ken but thats it.

^ Which makes no sense. I've thought, for logic's sake to explain what's possibily a plot hole, that possibily kaio-ken = just a broad term for any multiplication since yelling the name of a technique does not affect the output of it (you do). Or, kaio-ken does double your power and kaio-ken x2 to and so on multiplies the original power boost.
