What if the original Kami chose no succesor?
A set of two questions
1) Why did the original Kami not pick Piccolo-Kami as his successor when he chose him over Garlic? 2) If Piccolo-Kami never separated his evil, would the Kami choose someone else? If not, how would the dragonball story be affected?

History of the Kami's
1. The Kami from before the DBZ Kami 2. That Kami chose the DBZ Kami over Garlic 3. Dende I doubt thats what you wanted to hear, but if you could rephrase your original question to make sense perhaps I could answer it?

Ok.
There were two guys who wanted to be the new Kami. Garlic and Piccolo. Kami chose Piccolo and Garlic got pissed or whatever. After he chose Piccolo, the current Kami said Piccolo had too much evil or something and turned his back on him. Why, if he chose Piccolo over Garlic, would he do that? Make sense?

Well the Unnamed Namekian had to expell the evil from himself, and therefore since he expelled him he was able to take the thrown. Although Garlic Senior was still 100% Evil, I think the original Guardian chose him to be his Successor but didn't let him actually "Take the thrown" until he expelled Piccolo.
As for how it would affect the Dragon Ball series well Kami would probably still make the Dragon Balls since he's still a Namek. However Korin might not be able to help when it came to resurrecting the Dragon after Piccolo killed it. |
