Seems you read it wrong. One half of the original re-united with the other half. There is no "merged with another Namek" going on when Piccolo reunites with Kami.

I know, I'm just teasing them since they think they're good at sarcasm.

But you know, a super namek transformation is quite plausible. The way USSJed is decribing it, it's as though Piccolo has a "base" and releases it "in one burst" when he has to fight a very strong opponent. This example is demonstrated when he fights Gero. Gero assumes Piccolo is only a little stronger than the humans; so he devises a plan to absorb all of Vegeta's allies one-by-one starting with the strongest (meaning Piccolo).

The plan backfires when Gohan saves him just in time. Now, it is IMPOSSIBLE for Gohan to be anyplace near a SSJ's chi. Piccolo was compared to the SSJ's. But the thing I want to point out is that Kuririn did not notice how strong he was until after he "released his chi in one tremendous burst". Piccolo laters comments how Gero "stole nothing" (actually using the term "nothing") in regards to getting his chi absorbed. This goes to show Piccolo indeed has a base so do speak, and it is only around Goku's and Trunks' bases (3,000,000+ post Freeza).

Just do the math:

Piccolo (base): 4,000,000
Gero steals energy: 1,500,000
Piccolo (full-power): 60,000,000

1,500,000 is only 0.02% of 60 million. Indeed, when Piccolo said Gero stole "nothing from him" he meant it in the literal sense. And there is no way in hell Gohan was near SSJ power in his base. Gero was probably in the low millions when Gohan hit him.

While that's a good explanation, Gohan didn't have to be close to any SSJ power because he attacked Gero when he didn't expect it. The same way Gohan & Krillin knocked Dodoria away, his guard was just down. Now, when you say "tremendous burst", do you mean when Piccolo started to attack Gero? If so, I agree. It's the same way no one noticed Trunsk chi until he attacked Cold's henchmen with the sword, he raised it at the point of attack.

Piccolo's base is just him with weights, once he removes them, he's like a totally different person. He only powered-up like once after removing his weights, and that was against #17.

1-Actually, it's flat-out stated in the viz translation. Piccolo states he releases his chi "in one tremendous burst" with that exact wording.

2-Yeah, he hardly uses his full-power. Also, against 3rd form Freeza. All evidence supports USSJed's theory.

Well, when Piccolo said they could "amplify" their energy into one tremendous burst, I always thought he was referring to a beam attack of some sort. Guess that was incorrect.

It could in fact be him suppressing 99% of his power or w/e.

So lets make an evidence list...

Piccolo can turn Super Namek
-Insanely high power level compared to base Saiyans, who are suppost to be the strongest...
-Being called a Super Namek at various points
-The thing with Gero(although that could refer to him just not being powered up)

Piccolo just has a high base
-No physical transformation
-No exact referance to Piccolo transforming
