@Madness: Was Cell born with the Saiyan cells, or were they put in. If they were put into hi DNA after he was born then he isn't a Super Saiyan.

Except they were SSJ-capable. They just hadn't achieved it yet.

And he got cells from Goku, Nappa, Vegeta, Freeza, Piccolo and Kind Cold. That's 50 - 50 to me.

He was created from them. In a sense, he was born from the collection of cells.

Assuming he got an equal amount of DNA from each of his "donors", that is indeed 50% Saiyan, as well as 15% Namek, and 35% Frieza Race. But theres nothing to say that Saiyan+Namek or Saiyan+Frieza hybrids are any good, only Saiyan+Human. But I guess some kind of SSJ could be possible...

Super Saiyan Grade 3? Trunks notes that Cell made the same mistake as him, throwing too much power into his muscles, and sacrificing his speed in the process.

Super Saiyan 2? He does literally say: "Just like Son Gohan, I received a massive power up."

Also, Piccolo made himself 500x larger in Dragon Ball. Theres nothing to say that USSJ3's style of increasing muscle mass at cost of speed is unique to SSJ

Yes. His DNA may be a bit cluttered (hence the lack of iris change), but the aura input he projects is strong - notice how he develops a blazing SSj aura when he attains a power beyond his original threshold. This applies to him absorbing enough humans, when he needs to absorb the Cyborgs to proceed, and etc. His Saiyan DNA alters that facet of his design when he proceeds, and this all links to new states of power output. He also adapts to every sort of SS aura rather easily - hence why he develops a SSj2 aura so easily after his self-destruction. It's not a matter I tend to souse in, as I feel that he is by nature a Super Saiyan (as his conglomeration of cells are supposed to ameliorate upon their original state).

This has been discussed before, and it was concluded that Cell is simply a Super something because his genetic composition is too irratic to truly be a Super Saiyan. If he was half Saiyan, half Freeza race, it would be different, but the Piccolo thrown in there is what messes things up.

But I do believe personally that he is a Super Saiyan.

And I don't think he can control the SSJ form powers. If he reaches SSJ2, he's always in that form. He can't go down

What would make you suggest that. Look above to the first manga scan Chibi posted. Thats the Super Saiyan aura every including myself says shows an amount of clarity to a Super Saiyan atribute. He let that loose for the first time, when he began to fight Android 17, and Piccolo. He then transformed then the aura was gone.
