I could definatly see SSJ3 Goku as stronger than SSJ Gotenks (Pre-Rosat) I don't think it he'd be stronger than Post-Rosat though. I mean people say Goku witnessed the fusion but he only has a decent idea on how strong Gotenks would be. He knew the league he would be in but it's not like he's given power levels to work with and even if he was, he doesn't know too much of that Math (He never went to school anyway). I don't think he could be so far off which is why after Piccolo said: "They've increased hugely" would mean SSJ Gotenks (Post-Rosat) would probably be stronger than SSJ3 Goku just my opinion.

Lets look at it from a purely literary sense.

We have Goku stating that Gotenks is stronger. Regardless of personal opinion on Goku, this is still a valid statement from Akira Toriyama to us. Goku never refutes this statement, and as such it is a valid presumption to say that SSJ Gotenks is stronger than SSJ3 Goku.

Dragon Ball is a very simple story. Anything like this really isn't complicated.

^How do you know he was talking about SSJ Gotenks? If Goku thought the fusion would be so powerful, wouldn't he also assume that Gotenks can go SSJ3? He could have been referring to that form, who knows.

Beautiful, sounds like Goku saying SSJ Pre CoSaT Gotenks is stronger than him. How can someone be arguing against it?

When he saw Gotenkusu in his Ssj3 form in Rou Dai Kaioushin-sama's crystal ball, he was bewildered by the fact that they had reached Ssj3. If he had fully expected them to reach Ssj3, he would have more or less just acknowledged that they lived up to his expectations when he saw them, but his reaction was clear that they exceeded said expectations.

Not to mention that he even clearly indicates that the boys shouldn't use the Room of Spirit and Time because they might need it later in their lives, so he was confident in the Ssj Gotenkusu being stronger than Buu without them doing any training. The only reason they went to train inside the RoSaT is because of Shin Buu's unforseen creation.

Gentlemen please! I didn't start this topic to know your opinion who's stronger. I wanna know why you think that Gotenks SSJ is stronger than Goku SSJ3? This is common statement across all MFG DBZ section yet none of you (besides Darkprince, SSj4 Vegito and Madness) bothered to answer properly on my question in the first post. And there are 5 pages of this discussion.

So let's show some maturity and proceed with the proper discussion.

I think that Goku SSJ3 is stronger than SSJ Gotenks (pre and post rosat). I posted shortened reasons in the first message. Plese show some proof that Gotenks is stronger.

And finally:

If someone wants to post only his personal beliefs (without any proof) please post in the Goku SSJ3 vs Gotenks SSJ zone.(link below)

There is no proof that Goku's stronger, and there is none that Gotenks is stronger. It all comes down to your personal opinion.
