SSJ3 Living Goku was never able too tap into his full power, his body could not take the strain.

Goku alive, when he first goes SSJ3 is just as powerful as he is when dead. It's after a while that strain starts acting on that body

If that is so then how come he couldnt WTFPWN Kid Buu straight away? Goku stated if he could gather full power he'd be able to kill Kid Buu in an instant, so if he was at full power like you say he was at the start of the fight, how come he could not kill Kid Buu?

He didnt, Vegeta said he could, and Goku agreed.

I also recall Goku saying that he held back, and that it was too late now, as he could not power up to full again

I did read the manga. But it was so long ago, I usually mistake manga lines for anime lines

Haha me too, I always thought the line about Goku holding back was canon too, but it turns out the line never existed.

It didn't damage Shin Buu much, going by your logic, if SSJ Gotenks was almot enough to ''rape'' Buu, then SSJ3 Gotenks should have no problem. Still, he had a hard time against him even in his SSJ3 form. The Super Ghost Kamikaze attack wasn't near life threatning or really dangerous for Buu as we saw him regenerate easily and there was no signs of Ki loss and he wasn't weakened at all.

I lol'd. I put Pre ROSAT Gotenks is equal to SSJ3 Goku and Post ROSAT Gotenks is stronger than SSJ3 Goku. You are seriously underestimating fusion.
