Piccolo trains her as he did in preperation for the arrival of the Saiyans.
Later on Gohan and Piccolo fall in love and get married.

They have a Saiyan/Namek child who goes on to become another powerhouse warrior.
Because Goku is a woman and they rarely have powerful women last long in DBZ, she is left out of the loop for a while.
Then she comes back and is a SSJ. Vegeta hates her for being as powerful as she is but also really really likes her cos well, SSJ women triumph Earth women for him.
They have an affair. Chi Chi is upset over this and has an affair with Bulma.
