Why is it said that Majin Buu is weaker after creating grey Majin Buu?

It has to be said somewhere. People have been using some statement that "the Good Buu lost much of its power to the Evil one" for years. Manga, Anime it came from somewhere.

I don't see how it could make no sense? Majin Buu was fighting an even battle with SSJ3 Goku, who had better access to his power; Mr. Buu couldn't stop himself from being punched in the face by Kid Buu. He did just as good as Vegeta, except he had regeneration.

It's said in narration in the manga, and was most likely said in the anime as well.

"The original Majin Boo hadn't a chance at winning... After all, when they were split in two, the evil side received the majority of their power..."

I believe people made a fuss back when VIZ translated this volume, because they simplified the quote. It's wasn't clear that the evil Boo took away any of the fat Boo's power in their translation, I think. Can anyone post the VIZ scan or write out their "interpretation" of the line?

Narrator: Alas, sweetness stands little chance against concentrated wrath.

Which makes absolutely no sense on that part. That's why so many believe Mr. Buu has the same power as Majin Buu; a simple misconception because of an interpratation from them that was unneccesary.

Wow, that's basically the manga equivalent of a dub line. As I tried to explain to ANB before, being "professionals" doesn't mean VIZ doesn't take liberties with their translations. VIZ has a translation adapter (someone who takes the literal translation from the Japanese-speaking translator and rewrites it into more fluid English. These guys don't always have Japanese experience, and they take liberties to fit the audience and whatnot), so I wouldn't blame the actual translator in these cases.

Agreed completely. There are just some things that shouldn't be left out. This, as well as Vegeta's reference to Oozaru being 10x his power. In the original, there is even a 10 in the text when Vegeta is talkin to Goku about it. That was just, for whatever reason, left out. For the difference in the power between the Buu's it's kinda understandable, but Vegeta's quote should've been in the manga. That's why the original is always the significantly more accurate source with things like this.

What exactly is wrong? Mr. Buu got two lame attacks on Kid Buu and got kicked around for the rest of the battle. had it not been for his regeneration, he would've been down in seconds.

What are you talkin about? I don't even write fanfics. The battle was equal. No one had any upperhand in the battle, since neither's attacks were damaging.
