I don't think Piccolo got as strong as Stage Two Cell. That form of Cell was about 4x stronger than Piccolo before he did his training, and Vegeta and Trunks only got 3x stronger (if that, even) when they did the training alone (which is what Piccolo had to do; he had no sparring partner).

So, if Piccolo got 3x stronger, he wouldn't surpass someone who is 4x stronger than he was.

I feel that Piccolo's pretty useless by this point in the story.

So was ASSJ2(or whatever, the buff transformation) Trunks actually weaker than Perfect Cell not suppressed?

How did Piccolo do against the Cell Jr's, didn't Cell say only Vegeta and Trunks could handle them? Or did he say Piccolo as well?

I highly doubt Piccolo is just over humans boosted Imperfect Cell, I reckon he could take Semi-Perfect Cell anyday though.

Z shows Piccolo's transition from fighter to mentor. It happens when he is vastly surpassed by the other fighters. The same thing happens to Goku by the end of Z. He realises he's worth nothing much in a fight anymore, so he decides to pass his knowledge on, to train the next generation.

I highly doubt Piccolo went from an estimated 500 million or something to suddenly 7 billion in one year, thats excessive even for Dragon Ball.

That seems to be the case. But Piccolo doesn't mentor anyone until after the Cell saga as far as I know.

Anyone have any idea of how well Piccolo did VS Cell Jr's?

My scanlation says "Looks like only Trunks and Vegeta can fight back" and the manga only shows Piccolo fighting a Cell jr way in the background, with unknown results.

Doesn't he do better in the anime or something?

Instead of yammering, "good god", perhaps you might point out a few factors to back up your opinion as to why they're wrong. Nobody is going to take you seriously if you only say, "good god".

In a sense, I really don't see how you can disprove them. This is after all an entirely opinionated matter.

Okay, I'll post my numbers, even though I've posted them 1000 times:

Since I have Piccolo going from 3,000,000 to 175,000,000 in 3 years, giving him anything less than a 5.7x increase (which is roughly what I gave Trunks for his first RoSaT) is absurd.

Piccolo (merged w/Kami-Sama): 525,000,000
Piccolo (RoSaT): 3,750,000,000

ASSj Vegeta (1st RoSaT): 3,000,000,000

SSj Vegeta (Cell Games): 4,375,000,000
SSj Trunks (Cell Games): 4,125,000,000

Cell Jr: 4,500,000,000

Perfect Cell (supressed) = Cell Jr imho

Since we never see Piccolo fight a Cell Jr, the difference can be whatever you flippin' well want it to be.

Sadly, I cannot imagine Piccolo being more powerful than ASSJ Vegeta. Fact is, he doesn't have a super-duper awesome transformation to tap into that can so greatly increase his potential.

Honestly, I place him... probably about equal to Semi-Perfect Cell.

And people are forgetting Piccolo witnessed and felt the chi of everyone during the ASSJ-Cell battle. He knows Kuririn stated that Cell could show a lot more and that ASSJ Vegeta was already weaker. From the lookout he could observe everything and even whispered to himself "show me what you can do, Vegeta," and realized just how powerfull he was; baffled by how it was "still increasing,".

Let's use logic people: If Piccolo did not even equal ASSJ Vegeta in power, and that Vegeta was trashed easily, why would Piccolo even think of comparing himself to Cell, who was stronger still...?
