Who was stronger? People say MSSJ Gohan for some wacky reason but he didnt even land a hit on Perfect Cell.

MSSJ Gohan would thrash this Cell. Gohan did land a hit, which was a kick that knocked Cell down. Cell couldn't even touch Gohan with his current speed, and he was healed by the senzu at that point. He had to increase his speed just to catch him, and his attacks still weren't doing any damage to Gohan.

Is there fight totally different in the manga then?

Because in the anime Gohan got pwned badly.

Not really. Cell was pummeling him pretty good, but Gohan wasn't showing any damage. He just refused to fight Cell back.

Cell was beating him badly yep.

Not sure what you mean about Gohan's superior speed though, because he tried a few times to land a hit on Perfect Cell and he couldnt even do that.

After Gohan powered-up, Cell attacked him, and couldn't even keep up with Gohan's speed. He even admits he's pretty fast, which is when Cell increases his own speed to catch him; Gohan wasn't superior in speed at that point. Cell's attacks still weren'y doing anything, though.

Well, it's the form's official name. And it was the only term that was used on forums from at least 2001-2005 (I had no Internet access from mid-2005 to 2007; that's when I first saw MSSJ, in 2007).

I always thought MSSJ was better, because that's basically what the form is: "A Mastered Super Saiyan", since there's no energy depletion and stuff.

I agree Cell's attacks were barely doing any damage to Gohan.

But what's this about not being able to keep up with Gohan? I just watched The Cell Games today, and Cell was doing just fine.

if gohan was already stronger than goku at this point , and goku did well against cell , i say gohan and cell were more or less the same level but gohan wasn't ready mentally

Look at the part where Cell lands, and attacks Gohan. He couldn't hit him, or keep up with him. Cell then says he's going to show his real speed, then he goes on to catch Gohan. He obviously had no trouble with his current speed against Goku, but he had to increase it against Gohan.
