well as for fusions go I say vegito had to be stronger than mystic gohan because didnt elder kai say they didnt even need to go ssj to beat buuhan?

he said it with vegeta too, like when vegito and buuhan were fighting and kibitiokai said they were even elder said "He should be stronger than this, darn saiyan pride" referring to the fact vegito held back

Putting them around their SSJ pre-rosat self means they got a 2x increase at least, which I can't (and will never) accept.

I'll point out some examples which make 2x increase very possible.

Piccolo after 6 days of training at king kais got his power increased at least 3 times.

Goku after training for 6 days in order to master 100g, before Namek, had his power increased about 10 times.

That's different, the numbers are in the thousands there, not trillions like the buu saga.

I think DBZ was less concerned about power levels at this point. I've come to the conclusion it's not as linear in later Z. It's more like Bleach or Narutu.

It's certainly never said that the difference between SS2 Goku - SS3 Goku is the same difference as between base Gotenks - SS Gotenks.

He isn't, at least, in my opinion.

Gotenks: 180

SSJ2 Goku: 225

SSJ3 Goku: 675

SSJ Gotenks: 900

I use a 100x Dance multiplier, is that not enough for you?

And no it's never been proven that SSJ Gotenks Is SUPERIOR to SSJ3 Goku. SSJ3 Gotenks is for sure.
